Hello.

So what do I do? I already cut of their meat source but what now? Do I stake them out? And Why does this happen when they eat meat? Will it affect the chicks?

Thanks in advance

I have had chickens for over 15 years and my one hen is 18 years old. Chickens are just down right mean!!!! They attack each other and on occasion have attacked me!! You are best to just feed them laying mash...or chicken feed and avoid the meat but they will go for mice, squirrels whatever ...it is just their nature. Don't ever turn your back on a rooster!!!
They will take out any weak chickens in your coop too, including chicks. Making sure they have a large space to move in helps keep them from attacking each other and seperate small chicks.
Good luck
