In the most exspansive answer ever, it was the chicken. The chick being, that is, the single-celled organism.

The single sell would eventually evolve into the first fish species to lay eggs to reproduce. The creatures from the eggs and trillions of generations since would eventually evolve into birds. Eventually, from an Other Birg egg, we see a horrible mutation being born; the world's very first chicken.

The chicken came first.

This is not a rocket science. Between chicken and the egg, the chicken came first.

The chicken is a singular entity, meaning the chicken can exist by itself. The egg, on the other hand, cannot exist on its own. It has to have a host, which is the chicken.

So, the chicken had to exist.

I would have to say the chicken. God created man as an adult rather than a baby so why would he create an egg.

Chicken

Because the egg needs a chicken to sit on it till it hatches.

Why is it that that question mystifes so many people?
