Birds - July 2006

This is our birds second attempt at parenting. The last time only one egg hatched and the hatchling didn't survive (we think the male had killed it, because of peck marks). This time we removed the male when we heard noise coming from the nest the female made. The are coming up on two weeks old?

The b@stard boys have killed it along with its siblin who flew from the nest last night. Police and rspca just said to leave it alone. I feel sick to the stomach. There's one more baby due to leave and i can only assume the worst will happen to this one too. What the hell do young kids want in a church yard anyways!!!

I have a pair of lovebirds and they have been togather for about a month and yet the girl still hasnt laid eggs and his ex-owner said that she laid about 2 months ago?? When will she lay eggs? Also my cockatiels never had fertille eggs. And i was hoping something might make her fertille so she can have little ones of her own. She would be amazing mother! Also for the lovies the boy tends to use's his play toy more then his new wife (if you get my drift) If anyone who can help thanks!!

My Shitz su got loose while I had my bird out and grabbed all of her tail-feathers in one mouthfull and pulled them all out. It bled a little and stressed her out alot, and she doesn't have one tail-feather left. I was wondering if anyone knows if they will grow back at all?

We have an exstremely lovable peach faced love bird which we hand fed as a chick. He has a tendency off getting on our shoulders, hair, etc. and loves to give "kisses". I know there has to be a better exsplanation for this "kisses" than emotions. Can anyone tell me what it means when birds give these kisses?

I let my cat out in the yard to play today and the birds in the tree started swooping down at her as if too warn her. The thing is, she had no intrest in the birds in the first place. She was just playing with things on the ground. The birds did this many times and even came upto my front door in there attacks. i had to come in because i was afraid they would get me if i didn't get out of there way. Whats up with this!?

He is sleeping alot and doesn't whistle or screech. He just stays in his cage and is very mopey. He still has a good appetite and his dropings are normal.

Hi..I have been wanting to have a talkingbird in the house. I will be very patient and willing to continue working with your bird. The only thing I appreciate is that the bird is disease free and has been seen by a vet. Please msg me
