I'm on vacation at my grandparents' house and yesterday my mom called. She told me that one of my budgies that the pet shop owner said was a boy ended up being a girl. Oh and that my budgie that actually WAS a boy died. The live budgie is now VERY sad because now she's in this big cage and all alone. My mom talks and whistles to her and she's given her some fresh veggies as a treat.(when mom got into her cage she freaked out more than usual) We're gonna get her a new friend but it will be a few days seeing as my parents are gonna be busy. What can I have my mom do to cheer her up? D=

I have a cockatiel and when I go out I leave the radio on for him, which he likes, but his favorite is when I play songs of other cockatiels singing for him. I've also downloaded some songs from some other type of (wild/nature) birds, some of which he likes and some he doesn't. He really likes the few short clips of other cockatiels singing and jabbering that I've come across but I'm wondering if there is a good place to find more and/or lengthy songs I can download free for my bird to listen too. Maybe there's an exchange somewhere? I could swap uploads of Petey singing and whistling. Please only accurate on topic answers. Thanks

so first we found this baby bird on my patio dead because its nest is right above it. we think that it fell out of its nest while sticking its neck up waiting for food.it was really small and didnt have many feathers. 2 days later we found another baby bird who was sitting on the same spot but it was actually plump and had feathers. we knew it was alive because it was rocking back and forth chirping. we went back outside to check o it and it was gone. my cat didnt eat it because we we went out she got out to. it probably flew away. there is 1 more bird in the nest what should i do?

What do you feed a baby pigeon when you DO NOT have kaytee exact powder and the bird CANNOT return to its parents?

I only wanted to know this incase something like this were to happend to me, I live in Las Vegas, NV.

I looked outside and in my bush right beside my pation there is a robins nest. tthey are flying back and forth and making ther nest, very cool! 2 days ago, they made th outside, and then yesterday, they did the inside, today they haven't come back, thouh. Did they make the nest early. Did they know that were they put there nest was really close to were we eat dinner, if we talk will that scare them away?

Every year birds come and make nests on the ledges on our stone by our side door. They make a big mess and I needed ways to prevent them from coming back next year. We've already tried tinfoil, they just went lower. Any suggestions?
