Every year birds come and make nests on the ledges on our stone by our side door. They make a big mess and I needed ways to prevent them from coming back next year. We've already tried tinfoil, they just went lower. Any suggestions?

Figure out what kind of birds they are and purchase or build a birdhouse that is suited for them and place it somewhere appropriate. (Different species of birds like different kinds of houses). I think that's what my mom did when we had birds nesting on our porch and I haven't seen them there since. I really have no formal knowledge, but it could work. Good luck!

My suggestion is to go to a toy store and buy up some rubberized snakes that are pretty good size and go home, put them in locations of heavy concentrations of the winged fowl. I believe you will notice an immediate evacuation of the birds with no harm done to them.

Try pinning/nailing rubber snakes to your roof or where ever the problem is. They should get scared and go away

Try using a fake owl I heard that works to keep seagulls away,so you never no,good luck.
