The geese are just guarding their territory. They make excellent watchdogs (watchbirds?) And they are very intelligent with good memories -- they can recognize and remember who belongs on the farm, and who is a stranger, even after not seeing someone for a while. My geese also know our vehicles (by sound maybe? They can't see them from the goose area.) They raise a ruckus whenever a strange vehicle pulls in.

Having been raised on a farm, our geese got angry with strangers, not with the owners because they are very territorial. My father used to say that the geese were better "watch dog" than our dogs. they will attack an intruder or what they deem to be an intruder, unless that person is with someone on the farm the geese are familiar with. I loved our geese.

Geese are territorial, they will protect what they consider their territory, even from the person whom owns them! So if you have these geese ur talking about either keep them contained in a certain area or learn to run real fast as they can hurt you!And you wont get much company either as they wont trust your geese if you are letting them run.........

They are territorial, and are warning strangers to keep away. They make great watchdogs.
The noise of one goose kicking off starts all the others going, and they won't stop until you're gone.
