Chicken. Because no matter how you cook it, it tastes good.

My favorite bird is the house sparrow. I rehab orphaned wildlife for our wildlife sanctuary. I have had nearly every type of wild bird from around Wisconsin, but none are as fun as the house sparrow. They are so frisky and have such a social personality. I had one last year that I actually have kept instead of releasing. I got him when he first hatched and rehabbed him until fully grown. I released him in my back yard. He flew away, but then returned 3 weeks later with a beak injury. I was amazed that he remembered where he came from and knew to come back when he was hurt. He hopped right onto my finger when I approached him and I brought him in the house. He is now our pet sparrow. They are awesome little birds!

Nice question. I like Starlings, they are small, shimmering blue green, and imitate humans, and they also like us.(Wolf Whistle).
My second favorite is the Raven. Such a history in movies, but I just like them for what they really are. A beautiful bird. I rescued one from being hit by a car. A flock of birds of his flock, were all above in the trees calling him. He couldn't fly. I kept him over night, and he nested in my lap for hours while I awaited the rescue to pick him up.
He had the bluest eyes.

A cockatiel.
He has me trained to do his biddings, so we get along pretty good.
Likes to travel, sleeps later than me, has never bitten anybody, and the manager at the local Barnes & Nobel book store, invites him down when they have a book reading (about birds) for children. Hams it up and gets his picture taken with the kids.
He is my profile picture.

I love my parakeets, I have two and never thought that I would love them so much but they have little attitudes and are just like people in some ways, they have their good days and bad and love and fight just like humans. They love to be played with at times and other times don't want to be bothered with. When taught they talk to you, mine say thank you and I love you. who wouldn't love that. They fight over getting my attention, but don't hurt each other in any way, and when one is sick, the other stays right by it's side or if they are seperated, they sit at each others side in seperate cages, and don't leave that spot. They are wonderful and I would be lost without them. They put a smile on my face every day. Parakeets are wonderful.

It used to be the Indigo Bunting, they are beautiful but very stupid. My favorite now is the Barn Swallow, they are pretty birds, wonderfull acrobatic flyers, very tame (they will come within 2 feet of me), and eat lots of flys and mosquitoes.
