so first we found this baby bird on my patio dead because its nest is right above it. we think that it fell out of its nest while sticking its neck up waiting for food.it was really small and didnt have many feathers. 2 days later we found another baby bird who was sitting on the same spot but it was actually plump and had feathers. we knew it was alive because it was rocking back and forth chirping. we went back outside to check o it and it was gone. my cat didnt eat it because we we went out she got out to. it probably flew away. there is 1 more bird in the nest what should i do?

Let nature do its thing. I'm sorry but its called survival of the fittest. I don't think its right either, but its the way it is. If you want, find out what you could feed it and/ or take it to the vet or shelter and see what they think. Good Luck.

Let the parent birds take care of the last bird in the nest. If you touch the baby bird, there is a great chance that the parents will not come back to feed the bird. Furthermore, even if you find the baby bird out of the nest (but cannot fly yet), you should not interfere. The parents will take care of the bird until it can fly and feed itself. You may not see the parent birds often, but if you look closely they will come back and protect the baby even after it has come out of the nest.
We had two nests in our yard, and even weeks after the baby birds had flew from the nest, the parent birds still feed the babies.

you should probably just let it go...unless you really really wanna be responsible for a bird 24/7. They say once you touch a bird, the mother won't come back. So you would have to take of it. Also, if the other one was almost fully developed, that means this next one is probably almost at the stage where it can fly on it's own. It should be ready to leave it's nest soon, so again, I would say leave it alone. Good luck.

Nature is cruel, sometimes the mother bird throws the weaker birds out and only feeds the stronger ones. (I had that experience with birds on my terrace a couple of years ago)...My advice do nothing, and let nature be

I would not do anything at this time. Let nature take its course. Make sure you see mama or papa coming to feed it. If so, let it be. Otherwise contact your humane society they are experts in this area.

Dont feel sad because you dont have control. Remember Darwin "survival of the fitest"

if you are afraid the bird may fall, you could put something soft and shock absorbent under the nest somehow.
