It's something hard, and white. It's back pretty far, but it doesn't seem to be bothering him that much. He seems to be breathing normally, and everything. But, it must be annoying. I'm thinking it's some kind of feather build-up. I've tried to hold him, and get it with my finger nail, but it's back too far. I'm allowed to pretty much do anything I want to him, except get this. Tweezers are too sharp, and a Q-Tip is too soft. Please help. Thank you!

I need help with my nephew Billy’s Cockatoo Bird. This is not a joke. Peaches started to eat his body. My sister Lauren took the bird to the Vet, and they gave the bird sedatives to calm him down, however I saw the bird today and it is getting worse. The only recent change in the household is they bought two little birds a month ago the birds are in a different room in the house, they chirp all day long, and also my Father their Grand Father also died in the house a month ago. I feel bad for the children but I don’t think Peaches looks so good. She is mutilating his body. Any answers greatly appreciated.
Thanks and God Bless

I just recently got a cockatiel from an old lady who couldn't care for him anymore, and he is afraid of hands, we think it's because the groomer she sent him to, to have his wings clipped really messed up his wings, and cut off his tail, and might have handled him rough. How do I get him to trust me? also how long will it take for his feathers to regrow?

My parrotlets are good pets now. I keep them in separate cages. Someone told me if I put them in the same cage, they won't be good pets anymore. I would like to breed them, but I want to keep them as pets. What should I do?

Hey, SmileyCat here.I Love Birds!! Right now I'm watching out of my office window Doves diligently working on their new nest..flying down to the ground picking up the perfect twig off of the lawn then flying back onto my front yard Sycamore. Cute watching them walk up the branch carrying their twig!

Anybody else have birds nesting and getting ready for spring hatchlings?
What kind of birds? Tell me your story!

SmileyCat : )
P.S. I cheated a little and got a bunch of twigs and reeds from the backyard and scattered them in the front for them.
They smiled and thanked me! hee-hee!

They are about 1 year and 3 months old. I believe they are brother and sister. Do you think they will try to mate and would that be a problem? At what age to you think they might mate? When do they become adults? If I see them hump, should I go out and buy the wooden nesting box? If I buy it, how do i put it in/on the cage because they look rather large?
