I have taught numerous birds to talk; cockatiels (males only talk), budgies, conures, cockatoos, and presently my Blue Front Amazon. You must repeat what you want it to say maybe 10 times in a row several times a day in front of it. It can take awhile until you see results. Make sure you have a breed that does talk, as not all do. Usually males are best. Don't pick something too long or difficult. Most start out with saying "Hello", "Pretty Bird" and can also wolf whistle the easiest. When that happens, then move on to the next phrase, such as "Whatcha Doin". "I love you", etc. There are also tapes recorded in pet stores that repeat phrases and you can leave them on for long periods of time. I've had birds since I was 7 years old. Good luck.

First, learn to spell TEACH. J/K
First of all, what kind of birds do you have? If you're sure they are talking birds, then just repeat what you want them to say over and over but don't be like, "hello" for like three hours. Keep it short! I just say "hi birdies" everytime I walk into the room my birds are at. They learned it! If they don't seem to learn, they are probably female birds. Its usually harder to teach them only because in the wild, they don't need to be the ones doing the mimicing its usually the male birds. If your birds start repeating, give them a treat. Just be patient!

I taught my bird to talk by letting it sit on my finger or shoulder . I then repeated the same word or sentence over and over again. after a week he started to repeat part of it. He has learned new stuff ever since. good and bad words lol. you have to watch what people say. the bird never forgets lol.

Repeat the word constantly! Over and Over and Over again.
My mom trained her cockatiel to say "Ester". It's so cute to hear too!
What type of bird do you have? A friend of ours was able to train her parakeet to say, "Ha Ha Ha".
Good luck. Remember, be repetitive!
