He hasn't injured himself, nothing broken. Happened out of the blue. One back leg totally dragging on floor and the other he can use a little bit. Vet says to keep him quiet (he is very quiet since it happened anyway...not himself at all) and took blood tests and will see him again monday. He looks very sad and is not eating much. Anyone got any advice or had a similar experience please???

My dog has a bone and she had chewed a bit off it. My Mum put that bit on the window ledge because she thought it would be a bit dangerous. I just saw my dog jump up and grab it. I said 'no' and tried to grab it off her but I think she swallowed it.

I'm not sure how big it was (my Mum has gone to bed). Will she be ok? Will it come out the other end?

Thank you.

I just got a dog from my friend, he pretty sure that the dog is purebree huskey. But most of people tell me that it is a mix breed, It just makes me curious, nothing else.

Okay so...this dog isn't mine, it's my mother in law's..and I'm staying here for a couple of months while my house gets built. I have a cat, she's full grown and all...It's a female about 3 years old and a pure-bred Boston Terrier. She humps my cat (which I know is a dominance thing) but the WORST!!! thing, is that she uses my cat's litter box... she does both 1&2 in there!! I have NEVER, in all my years, EVER seen something like this..not to mention, she has other issues with the bathroom thing, she pees in my bedroom on a regular basis, and poops on the carpet all the time. She's been to the vet, there are no problems with her at all..she's healthy. I've heard of dominance issues but this is just nasty you guys..help me out here. How do I get this dog to stop being so terrible? She's spoiled, eats my kid's food out of her hands all the time, chews on everything..then this, it's just getting bad!

i think my female pitbull got raped... and might be pregnant. but she's too old to have puppies. she's 11 y/o for god's sake!!! and she has breathing difficulties, and she's definitely overweight. i dnt want her to suffer from it. what am i suppose to do? are there animal morning after pills?
if i were to have her puppies aborted, does it make me cruel?

I was wondering if animals have their own names like if an owner calls their pet, "Arnold" but their real name is Jake.

both of these clips are very interesting. they show high speed impact of a barefoot hoof and a shod hooof. look closely and you can see the vibration travel up the leg of the shod hoof, but the vibration gets absorbed into the hoof on the barefoot one.

My cat was supposed to have been spayed before we got her last December. Lo and behold, 2 weeks ago, at over a year old, our cat went into heat, apparently for the first time. After a week and a half of keeping her away from anything that might be urinated on, we thought she was over it. After being "free" for a couple of days, she's back to yowling, licking herself and trying to pee on everything. After speaking to our vet we decided not to spay until she's out of heat but my goodness!!! How long will this last?! She's going on 2 and a half weeks now and it's completely annoying. The yowling is keeping us awake at night, no matter where we put her in the house we can hear her. Should this be ending soon or should we face the risk and extra cost that comes with spaying her while she's still in heat?

He's been checked for worms, and he doesn't have them. What he does have is a bit of an anxiety problem (he's very skiddish). He's not taking meds for that...a daily routine works pretty well. I've always attributed his being thin on the anxiety, but I'm worried it could be something worse. As far as feeding him canned food...he won't eat meat. Really. It doesn't matter what brand, he won't even eat human food (meat).

Hello, my dog has seizures and the other day she had one and fell on the bricks at the fireplace. Well I noticed it seemed like her sight to smell was off, well I have paid more attention and she seems to be blind in one eye. I can wiggle my finger in front of it and she doesn't budge, but the other one she backs away, so she can't see out of it. Also, I was looking closer at it and it seems it is swollen on the outside of the eye. It seems kinda like a black eye or something for a human and she can't see well out of it. Do you think this is serious or do you think it will go down? I am a broke college student and have spent so much money to get the seizures looked at and it doesn't help they can't help me they just put her on medicine so that's a waste of 300 dollars a trip. If it is serious then NO DOUBT I will take her to the Vet, I'm just trying to avoid another 300 dollar Vet bill. Booo!! Please help!!

I just wanted to know How Stable you think my pack of Rescued Pitbulls is. Most will think these dogs fight each other but with the right owner I beleive that any dogs can learn to live with each other as you see mine have.

None have ever fought each other and get along pretty well.

I have a pic of my pitties and I did all Behavior and command training myself.

Okay so this morning as I'm sitting watching t.v. my less than a year old kitty found a peice of string. She normally plays with it like a ball of yarn so I didn't think much of it. She got very quiet and I noticed she wasn't jumping all over the place playing with it like she normally does. I got up to see and there was 1 inch left sticking out of her mouth, she ran off and swallowed a peice of thick red string that measured 2-3 feet long. I'm so scared I don't know what's gonna happen. She seems normal and is as naughty as usual but I'm scared. Anyone had this happen? Is there anything I can do? I appreciate your answers. Rude responses will be ignored, I don't have time for idiots.

I have a 1 week old puppy that hada bacterial infection that caused his digits on his hind legs and half of his tail to turn black and fall off. hes on meds and it is not spreading, it is healing, will he ever beable to walk normal? his feet are gone in the back, he only has stubs. the vet is still not sure what caused this to happen, the other puppy is normal.

There's a purebred persian at the county shelter-I guess he has no lower teeth, he's dirty, and front de-clawed. Doesn't really show well in a cage since he's filthy. I was thinking about adopting him myself and finding a home for him.

Any thoughts?
