i need something to keep her in while we go out.... right now, she's got run of the house, and she's managed to chew up every pair of shoes she can find, a truck load of socks, and a couple of ball caps.... not to mention all the toys that my two daughters leave laying around. if i leave her out in the back yard, she digs under the 6 feet tall privacy fence, and under the little electric fence that we put down the around the bottom to keep our former pets from digging out. the neighbor has cats, so it is a problem if she gets out.
what is the best kind of cage/pen?

I plan on buying a Royal Gramma soon in the near future. we had an anemone... but it died in a month... and killed all my plants. We just want a small easy to take care of anemone that my clownfish would be very friendly with and play with all the time.

Please help! I just found out that my cat is having cat flea which I can clearly see lots of the flea eggs under his coat. In addition, I have another dog at the house. They have some contact for the past few days. I am just so worry that will the cat flea also infect my dog? Or cat flea won' t transfer or jump on to the dog? And I found some bitten rash on my body too, is that from the cat flea? Will the cat flea live on human body and live by bitten human blood? I appreciate you help ^^

My cat's blood test came out positive for possible heartworm, according to the veternarian. But he says this does not mean my cat has heartworm.

Is it treatable? Thanks - Jodi

My boyfriend's dad said that I'm as loud as a herd of turtles and my boyfriend also said that they're loud. It may be a bit naive...but I was just wondering if there was any truth behind this. Thanks!

they pick at the plastic plants all day , there's some algae on them and i think they are getting bits of that but is that normal? they are cichlids. i have had them for about three years and they all seem healthy but i think its weird that they are always scavenging. i feed them twice a day ,enough for them to eat for a few minutes , theres really no left over at all by the time there done. is that enough? is it better to feed them pellets rather then flakes? i have them on flakes because there used to be alot of small one but now there all pretty big so maybe they should have pellets?

thriving city to have the animal rescue show in? I am thinking it's easier to film for the producers because of the pretty much year round sunny weather, and it seems like there are tons of dogs, cats and horses to rescue in that part of the country.

Our dog is a female Queensland Heeler and she is 3 years old. Whenever we hold up a can that even resembles an air freshener aerosol can (i.e. hairspray, PAM, flashlight, etc.) then she goes into freak mode, she bites at the can. Does she hate the noise or does she enjoy it? What can we do? She is the most loving dog and we hate that she acts this way. Please help or else we might have to call the Dog Whisperer!!!!!

I am just getting really PISSED that i have to keep cleaning up after my dog!!!! what do i do to get her to stop pooping and peeing and generally making a huge mess? i don't want my mom to get rid of the pups! I got my gorgeous cockatiel nearly a week ago. I spend alot of time with him as i dont work so it only him and me until my partner gets home from work. But recently i have noticed that when im in the same room he is quiet, but when i leave he starts chirping really loud and a couple times has actually tried to fly around in his cage.. When i come back into the room he is fine. What is he trying to tell me? Im new to this and im a lil worried that im stressing him out, and i dont want to do that at all. He is tame but i only get him out when my partner comes home, because "Show-off" gets cranky if knows he is going back in the cage and i need a lil help, lol. Can anybody help me?

My dog is very affectionate, but he thinks that I am a dog too. He likes to mouth my hand when we play. He is very gentle, but despite that, we want him to be better mannered. I have tried soaking my entire hand with bitter apple, but if I would let him he will actually sit there and lick it all off. I've never heard of a dog that likes the taste of that stuff. I tried it myself just to make sure that someone didn't swap it for something else as a prank. Trust me, it's the real thing.

Is there an alternative to bitter apple that is even yuckier? Is that even possible?

More specifically, exactly how does it affect cats?, Are there other animals that would feel its effects? How about humans?

I've enjoyed keeping a few soft corals in my 46 gallon bowfront for the past few years, but I was thinking of adding some live plants to the tank. What would you recommend? What are the lighting requirements for marine plants? Are there any special measures I should take into consideration before buying plants for my tank?

Hey I have F cat about 3-4 years. She keeps going over to the litter box but very little/no urine is coming out. She doesn't seem like she is any pain when she is/trying to go. She is still eating all her food at her meals and sleeps and plays like normal. I am suspecting a bladder infection/blockage but the fact that she is not in any pain is making me wonder. I've just noticed this habit today and if after tomorrow she is still doing it I was going to take her to the vet. My question is if there is any other thing that could be wrong with her (with her not having any pain when she is trying to go) apart from a bladder infection? I like to be prepared and do some of my own research before going to the vet.

Yesterday, I opend the door to tells some kids , my kids wernt home. My dog,Rotti/ hound mix. barged his way out, and at the last second, I grabbed his tail to keep him from running away. you see we have deer hunters here and I was affraid he would get shot because if he started to chase a deer that hunter was after .THEY WOULD KILL HIM., if he made it into the woods.he yelped, I have NEVER hit, grabbed , spanked, or even yelled at him before.now he shys from me. He wouldn't even take a treat from me. I have told him how sorry I am and am giving extra love. I FEEL SO BAD. He was a shelter dog I adopted last year. So i know nothing about his past. will he ever trust me again? GOD knows I didn't mean to hurt him physically, or emotionally. is there anything else I can do to gain his trust back? I feel like some sort of animal abusing monster.

My cat, Sammy, is almost 19. The last year or so, his health has really gone downhill. He's peeing outside the box, is constipated, and dehydrated even though he drinks water constantly. He has also lost a lot of weight even though he's been eating normally. He hasn't been as affectionate and doesn't sleep with me at night very much anymore. All he seems to do is eat, drink, and sleep in his little cat tent. The vet said his liver and kidneys are in bad shape. I could bring him in for a few days for some IVs, but in a couple of months he could be right back where he is now. I had my other cat put to sleep a few years ago and it was very traumatizing. I don't know if I can go through it again. I'm 30 years old and have had him since I was 11...just the thought of being without him is agonizing. I guess I just want someone to tell me I'd be doing the right thing by putting him down....any advice would be appreciated.
