This morning I was relaxing on the couch sipping my coffee when I heard this heaving sound coming from the kitchen, it was King (my kitten) and he was by his food dish. My first thought was 'Oh God, my kitten is choking!' but he didn't seem to be scared or uncomfortable. Then he stopped and it was business as usual for him. I picked him up and squeezed him and kissed him, I don't know what I would have done had something tragic happened.

Have any of you experienced this? Is this a regular cat sound or condition? I am hoping he is just having trouble coughing up a furball. Should I take him to the vet? Any and all responses are so very much appreciated. :(

I was recently cleaning out my 10 gallon tank, and I decided to have a lunch break. As I was eating, my dad decides to take a shower. With the tank in the tub. So heres my question: If I were to rinse out the tank a lot, would it be possible to put fish in it? I know that fish can't live with soap residue, but...

I posted a question about breeding teacup puppies earlier. No backyard breeders or puppy mill here. We are state licensed and inspected. We have an "open door" policy to our prospective customers. They can come anytime they like to look at ALL of our dogs and puppies, check out the health, condition, and cleanliness.

If any of the people who answered the question I posted up to this point had any education at all.(I, am a retired nurse, who HAS done extensive research!0 You would know, that the according to the Veterinary Association, puppy breeders can expect to lose 17% of their puppies under the absolute best of conditions, even if a Vet breeds them. "TEACUP" puppies? If you who answered so rudely would look up the standards for the CHIHUAHUA, the correct weight for the breed starts at 1 pound! Why do I breed puppies? Because I love them, and many ppl want a gorgeous purebred puppy, instead of some elses mistake. TY to the lady who actually gave me the answer.

why do so many people believe they can't afford a vet visit? but they are willing to spend money on home remedies and take the advice of untrained strangers to help their pets. i don't know where you live but in my area the most expensive office exam is $70 and that's at the emergency clinic. most exam fees are around $30 and even less. How much are you spending on shampoos, different foods, benadryl, over the counter dewormers, walmart flea control, creams, lotions, additives, etc....? i would think most of these over time cost far more than $30 and you still don't know the answer to your question. why not spend the small amount of money to have a vet at least look at your dog and then decided from there with a trained professional what is the best course of action to take to help the dog and not let the dog continue to be miserable while you try great grandma blah blahs home remedy that worked for her back in 1952?

My Bf's parents have a Puggle (half pug, half beagle).

He has a REALLY bad time itching. They've bathed him gotten rid of his fleas.... I'm thinking it could be allergies, possibly to the flea shampoo. He's got a bad rash on the tender skin of his belly from chewing, bald spots on his back from running under the bed standing up as high as he can and using the frame to scratch his back.... hes always itching, biting, scratching, etc.

They don't have the money to take him to the vet to get tested for allergies if its not allergies. I've suggested to them a new shampoo without the flea protection... what else can we do to help? We thought it was just a "i;m bored" type thing, but he;ll stop in the middle of playing to itch, and even a bitter deterent won't get him to stop.. thats the reason he's starting to use the couch so he doesn't taste it..

Can we give him benedryl? any suggestions for a good shampoo? and if it IS that, how can we treat for fleas without the advantage and shampoo

I'm still stuck! She's black and will be 35-50lbs and she's a hound mix.
I don't know her personality yet. I don't get her for a few weeks.

I DON'T want common names like Chloe, Sophie, Bella, Misty, Penny, Dolly, Molly, Lilly, Cleo, Sadie, Shadow, Midnight, Sky, Sara, Chelsea, Princess, Paris, Sweetie, Honey, Zoe,

Something short and sweet and a little bit different.

Is that a good deal? On of my friend's friend is selling his used tank with fish and stuff in it.I have not checked it out yet, but I'm guessing it has tank, decorations, gravel, filter, hood.
I'd like to know if it's a good deal before I drive to check it out.

I think my dog got knocked up this holiday weekend (I left her in the care of my boyfriend) with the expectation of getting her spayed when I got back from the holiday weekend...Is it too late to get a doggie day after pill or is it possible to term the pregnancy? My fear is that my baby won't survive giving birth, and I do not want any puppies...When is it too late to term a dog preganacy?? She's a 5lb Shih tzu.

Haters & Pessimistics need not respond...

Thanks! :oD

I need ideas on containing my dog for a couple months while I get the rest of the money needed and get his new run built.

He's a mutt close to 100lbs that wandered my way last year and no one claimed.

Ideally I'd like to have him in the house while I'm at work, either crated or limited to a room or two like the other dogs. Unfortunately that didn't go so well. He absolutely refuses to go near a plastic crate, so I that is out. This led to leaving him limited to two rooms. This led to a destroyed room, which was cleaned up and re-dog proofed. That went ok for a day or two, then he found the window. At least he didn't get hurt.

So next idea I bought an outdoor run. That lasted a week before he figured he could easily jump the six foot fence. When he started going over the top, I blocked the top corners and tarped the rest of the top. Never again will I buy a chain link run, he then found the weak spots in the wire and made his own exits.

continued.....

It seems Pope Benedict XVI finally confessed that the cruel factory farming and treatment nowadays clearly contradict the teaching of God.

http://blog.peta.org/archives/2007/09/pope_benedict_x.php

Therefore if a faithful Christian by knowingly, and pretending unknowingly consume, supporting such cruel industry, or even not bothered to such contradiction…will warrant virtue??
