I had a dog who kept sitting in a corner every 3 minutes and rubbing his face in a towel. He was a boxer.

It's your dog, so you can name it whatever you want. Mohammed is a little too long and may be confusing to the dog. Try Mo or Ali! They will be easier for the dog to respond to.

It seems an odd choice from all the names you could choose. What would you feel like if you had to go looking for him shouting Mohammed. You would probably get arrested for incitement to riot. But if at heart you really are a fearless rebel then go for it, could be interesting.

You can call your dog whatever you want. I work at a vet and we have several animals named S**thead. Personally I wouldn't, but only because Mohammed doesn't fit into my criteria for dog names. I prefer names with hard consonants and/or hard vowel sounds and generally two to three syllables long because they are easier to get out and easier for dogs to distinguish from our normal daily chatter.

You can name your dog anything. Although after naming our old dog Moses the neighbors thought we were a little strange yelling Moses across the yard. As long as your ok with that it sound like a great name.

Current issues in Sudan remind us that faith can be interpreted in many different ways. To those outside of yourself and your faith and commitment, it might appear disrespectful to name an animal after an exalted figure. But if you believe you are naming something you love after something else you love and in its honor, then you should be at peace with your decision.

These days you really have to watch what you say, because you get some extremists who have a problem with everything. Anyway, it's your dog, so call it whatever you want!

Sure!
However, if you're naming him after the boxer it should be spelled "Muhammed"
