My rabbit always kicks the bedding away and just lays in her litter box or on bare plastic. Should I just leave bedding out?

My husband and I have a 2yr old mutt that we adopted from the local animal shelter when she was 5 months old. Her name is Terra and we love her to death! We are thinking about getting another dog but we have a couple concerns.
She loves playing with other dogs but will she be mad at us if we have another dog live with us? Also, we were thinking about getting one that is under a year old again and we are concerned that evetually what if both dogs pass away at the same time because they are close in age. That would be devestating to us. So should we wait a couple of years until Terra is older?
Any thoughts from those with multiple pets in the house is appreciated!

I gave my cat and dog sentenal for 4 years, There last pill was given Nov 1. They have been scratching for 2 months and the vet said they had allergies. On Sunday I discovered my dog has a tapeworm that you can only get from fleas. Two hundred dollars later they are both on deworming medicine and advantage to fight fleas. Although I don't see any fleas, and no one is being bit by the fleas accept the pets, I know my home is infested because both pets have them. What are some of the best methods for getting rid of fleas in my carpets and beds and sofas . Do I need to worry about solid surfaces and how do I know when the are gone? I don't want my pets infested again. What was the point in giving them the sentenal I wonder?

I have a dilemma!! I am due to get a new kitten (or two) on Friday. I live in a 2 bedroom flat and these kitten(s) will grow up as indoors cats. I work until 5pm Monday - Friday. Is it best to get 2 kittens, which would be from the same litter (brother & sister), or, do cats prefer to be the only one?

For the last week I have been noticing my pup scratching alot and chewing around his tail and his hind legs. Its getting so bad that most of his hair is falling out and he is tearing open his skin. He doesnt have fleas I do a thourough search on him just about everyday. I also dont bathe him that much because they say that its bad for his natural oils. He seems perfectly healthy except his chewing..Any help would be great..

The other day I was holding my rabbit and talking to my parents and he suddenly started wriggling and I lost control and he fell onto the hard kitchen floor. I picked him back up and gave him a hug and checked he was ok and nothing seemed to be worrying so I thought nothing of it, as it wasnt a very long drop as I was kneeling on the floor. But now today his foot is like twice the size of the other one, and I felt it but he didnt flinch but it felt really really big compared to the other one and you could see the difference. So we took him to the vets and he felt my rabbits foot and he started flinching and making a crying sound, and the vet said its probably a broken foot. He wasnt very informative but he came my rabbit some antibiotic injections I think they were, and just let us go. Then the nurse came and gave us some medicine but it was only in a tiny bottle and were meant to mix it up in 1L of water and put it in the fridge and use that as his water for the next week,

Been nervous since that Ellen D. situation.

This animal took off the first opportunity it got and never looked back. It didn't like being with us I guess, but the worst that can happen is someone finds it and somehow knows it belongs to me right? But if it takes off can I really be held liable?

We both work 20 mins from our house and gas is getting expensive. I estimate we waste $10 everytime we drive home for lunch to let the dog out. Is it mean to make it wait until we get home. We let her out at 730 am and 4 pm. Are there any other options we have?

I used to have a boston terrier pomeranian mix. I was wondering if anyone else had one of these or had seen one, and also is this a designer breed because he was a very pretty little dog.

I'm really tired of getting told that I should get my indoor cat spayed to prevent her from getting ovarian cancer. Yes, she goes into heat and she can be annoying, but it's natural and it's a part of her personality.

I believe a cat should only be spayed or neutered (this IS surgery and stressful and painful for the animal) if there's a risk of the cat getting pregnant or breeding with other cats. Overpopulation of stray cats is a problem, but my cat has never been outdoors (without being held onto) and never makes a break for the door when it opens.

I do have a male cat who spent most of his life at my previous home in a large house on a 5-acre lot of land. He frequently went outside and explored, but I had him neutered when he was six months old to prevent any risk of reproduction.

But I keep hearing that there are other benefits associated with spaying a cat, like preventing ovarian cancer or getting a uteral infection.

I've just recently discovered that my cat has fleas. I went out and got a (cat) flea collar and put it on her as soon as we figured out the black specks weren't cat litter, but flea litter! As soon as we put the collar on her, we put her in a single room, and have been using a spray around the rest of the house. I've not had time to do all of the laundry yet (sheets, bedding, etc) But I've sprayed a good deal of it (theres a LOT!) with a spray from the vet for linens and carpeting. We got frontline yesterday and put it on her at about 7pm. When we put the collar on her, we also put a bit of powder along her back (where she cant lick).

My questions:
-When should I let her roam the house again, Shes had the flea collar (and powder) on for 2 days, and frontline for just under a day.
-I've heard head and shoulders will aide in the killing of some of the fleas. Will this cancel the frontline? I'd like to wash her just because she's probably loaded with flea dirt and the flea powder.

I have a 10 gallon tank with two goldfish. Being they're coldwater fish, I do not have a heater in the tank. I turn the tank light on during the day when I wake up and off at night when I go to sleep. I do not have a thermometer in/on the side of the tank (go ahead and flame me I know you want to.)

Recently, much to my surprise, I noticed a lot of very tiny, see-through baby fish, that were undoubtedly freshly hatched goldfish. I know that it takes a lot of certain conditions to encourage the fish to breed and I wasn't even trying. I know that goldfish need very warm water to get "in the mood."

The fish like to nibble at my fingers so occasionally I put my fingertips in the fishtank. Usually it's very warm, but I work in the daytime so I've only done this in the evenings. But today I have a shift in the evening, and I dipped my fingers in the fishtank at about 11:30am, and the water was cold (or as cold as goldfish water gets).
