I like dogs better, because in general they are more social. Many of them always love to be around people, and seem happy whenever you walk in the door. They are more maintenance than a cat, but I still like them better.

I like cats as well, but they just don't seem as interactive. You don't take them to the park for a walk. You don't play fetch with them, and most of the time they go hide under a bed or sleep.

My dog on the other hand likes to sit in my lap, play, or go outside to play. And I guess I just enjoy the companionship more.

I have both and love them all equally, but must admit iv always had a softer spot for cats. Cats make you work for their attention and are extremely smart and clever and cunning. Cats always have a plan, dogs just do whatever pops into their minds first. Cats are very independent, clean themselves and can look after themselves.

Puppies and Kittens are both extremely hard work, and both bite and chew on things and misbehave, but i would rate them as being equally gorgeous in their baby years.

Similarities to a cat;
Mine was the same price as a cat (free, rescue dog), hops around like a cat, is as agile as a cat, goes through the sleep-hyper stages like a cat, purrs (grumbles, but almost the same) like a cat being pet, is curious like a cat, and eats very little food like a cat (40 lb dog).

Similarities to a dog;

I can (well, I am forced to because of the mentioned hyper-ness) walk her like a dog, she barks to alert me of visitors, dosnt scratch, cant be hurt by other dogs (its kind of a running joke, she isnt afraid of ANYTHING), she does tricks like a dog, I can take her to friends places (especially those who have dogs), I couldnt do that with a cat, no litterbox, she isnt spiteful, as some cats can be, and the biggest benefit, I dont have to own a ************* cat! I ******* hate cats, hahaha.

i love both...but if i had to chose, dogs. They are so smart 9cats are as well but they're really stubborn and hold grudges). I love training them and walking them. i just enjoy doing all kinds of events and stuff....stuff most cats cant or wont do!

i have both...my cat is going to be mad a tme for like a month next month when i get him neutered, shaved, and a bath!...lol he holds grudges for a long time!

i love them both dearly, but on different ways.. (the cat because they are very independent and have strong personalities!)

cats cos they are fickle to the last and just use humans to their own comfort.dont ever think a cat likes you cos they are purring while sat on your lap.its cos they are inside in the warmth and know they wont be thrown out if they keep purring. Cats are smart.

cat person all the way! Cats are so beautiful, and mysterious and cute in their personalities. They are cuddly and have attitudes and are cleaner and neater than dogs. They are like pet royalty to me.

DOGS!! cats just sleep, eat and stay outside. You only see them when they want something to eat.
Whereas with dogs, you can play with them, teach them cool tricks, take them on holiday and everything!. They are mans best friend.

You can never get bored with a dog, they offer endless love and crave attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
