Alright, last year for my 13th birthday, I got a rabbitt. The rabbitt got really mean and bit hard a lot and it was getting diffucult to clean its cage. One day it bit me good and I had had enough so I gave it to my lil brother. This year for christmas, I want a small pet that I can hold and that doesnt need much work. My mom says I cant have a bird, I know I cant have a dog or cat, and a rabbit is out of the picture too. PLEASE HELP!!!

my cats are normally VERY good cats. but one of them ALWAYS pisses on EVERYTHING. its so disgusting and its annoying the hell out of me. she has no reason AT ALL to be doing this. she gets played with and attention. her litter is cleaned daily, weve tried numerous kinds of litter, she had her own litter box, its getting ridiculous what other reason might she be doing this.

she DOES NOT have a uti we have already been to the vet and checked.

WHAT CAN I DO TO GET HER TO STOP ??? please help im DESPERATE.

I adopted a cat from the animal shelter 2 weeks ago. At the shelter he seemed healthy but after I adopted him it became apparent that he had a cold, fleas, earmites and tapeworms! He gave my other cat fleas, an eye infection and probably the worms as well. They've both been to the vet and are on the road to recovery but is this the sort of thing I should complain to the shelter about? Aren't they supposed to make sure the pets are healthy before they adopt them out?

if you had a neighbor with a dog in renal failure who is frequently asking you to come over to walk and feed his dog when he takes off for the day. Today I went over and there was a note to feed her food from the refrigerator. I grabbed a white bowl which he usually leaves to put her food in, uncovered the food, it looked like a meat/veggie meal and I put it down. She wasn't too interested, ate some, I put it back to find a pink doggie bowl with her food. YIKES wrong food. No phone number to call him, no vet's number, no one to contact. I've been over twice now because I don't want her to get diarrhea or vomit. There was a note for another neighbor to take her out to poo. I'm annoyed because he's too cheap to use a dog walker and leaves his old renal dog at home for the neighbors to take care of (I pay a dog walker).

read a post on the PooPoo topic..and someone actually made a comment that the AKC was registering Mutts... obviously this person does not know how hard it can be to register a purebred with the AKC (American Kennel Club) if you do not have your info correct or they are not registered with a recognized club... that will be the day I walk away from the AKC when they register just to register

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~and for the person that made that comment... for a purebred to get accepted for full registry in the AKC it takes years of record keeping and it doesn't hurt to be a part of the AKC's FSS Foundation Stock SErvice
The American Kennel Club created the Foundation Stock Service® (FSS®) to answer the needs of today's rare breed fanciers. The Foundation Stock Service® is an optional record-keeping service for all purebred breeds not currently registrable with the American Kennel Club.
Because this is a chronic gum disease, she does not eat well. I need to help her gain some weight possibly by syringe feeding. She can't eat hard food and don't eat enough moist. I am not ready to euthanize her b/c so far her quality of life is pretty good considering her condition. I'd like some ideas on what I can mix up to syringe feed her for extra calories. She does well with a syringe.
Trying to think of questions that are slightly more though provoking and entertaining than "horse slaughter" or "name my pony" - think Kicking Bear is doing a great job with some great questions - anyway
Aren't there just things that people hold so true and fast that you just disagree with. Things that are taken as the gosspel in the horse world and you buck the trend.
Here's a few of mine- not every horse needs it's saddle professionaly fitted. In polo, you have 5 saddles and over 10 ponies in your string and you swap saddles between chukkas - it's anyone's guess who is getting what saddle and I've never had a sore or bad back on any of my ponies. Same with racehorses - I have a full tree exercise saddle and it goes on everyone. Drives me mad when people cite - you need a professional to fit your saddle!
Another one is injecting penicillin into the neck - stick it in the leg, less likely to abscess and if it does, it will drain better from the horse walking around
And
I know you can make big moola with these designer dog breeds, so I was trying to think up something unique that I could have a monopoly on for this Christmas season.
I thought up a few new breeds I've never heard of before:
PooPoo: Half Poodle and half Poodle. These dogs are guaranteed to shed minimally and be great for people with allergies.
LabraLab: Half Labrador Retriever and half Labrador Retriever. These Christmas puppies make great family pets. The breeds behind both parents are well-known for their fabulous dispositions.
PomPom: Half Pomeranian and Half Pomeranian. Guaranteed not to shed any more than either parent.
What do you think? Do you think these will be the newest, biggest craze?
She is 2 years old and started licking her paw a lot. I noticed she has a raw spot on the pad of her paw. It looks like she either scraped it or cut it. She has had problems before with her paw (not the same thing) and the vet gave me some medicated pads to wipe it with. Vet bills are so expensive I was wondering if keeping it clean and watch for infection would be ok or should I take her to the vet ASAP?
He takes it from the laundry hamper. If I don't notice him doing this, he will make a nest out of a few pairs under the bed. Any reason for this? He already has a blanket. Oh yeah, the panties are um, ones that are from the dirty hamper.
I bathe him every week and this seems to keep the number of fleas down. They aren't infesting my house and I've never seen them on anything but Bandit. Since it is a small number of fleas, a flea collar and a flea bath would do the trick, but all of the collars and shampoos say not for kittens under 12 weeks. He is 11 weeks old and last week we tried a kitten flea collar on him. He became overly lethargic so I took it off in fear of him getting sick. On December 1st, he'll be 12 weeks. Is that still too soon to use any products on him? Was his reaction to the flea collar "normal?" Since it's not a huge infestation and I'm keeping them at bay with baths and normal kitten shampoo, I would be able to wait until he was 14 or 15 weeks old but we are acquiring a new cat tomorrow. Any suggestions?
im currently a highschool student. i've been job shadowing at a vet clinic for a year, and am really interested in it. when i get into college i was thinking of going to become a vet tech though instead of a vet, and then see where i wanna go from there.
1)how long would becoming a vet tech take?
2)does this sound like a decent plan or would it be way better to go straight into becoming an actual vet?
3)how much do veterinarian technicians make compared to veterinarians?
