Very awsome of you to do this!!
I love seeing people standing up for Animals as animals our part of our families and need to be taken care of!
If I were to change one thing I would change the prices the vets are allowed to charge! Its a war out there, all vets are competing to make more money instead of competing on who loves and cares for animals more. Vets useually become a vet because they love animals but yet they charge you up the butt and some people cant afford what they charge and it ends up hurtting the animals! I think anyone who can love and take care of an animal has every right to own one but when something happens to the animal and they charge you thousands of dollars to fix the sick animal its not fair! I know some will disagree with me and think people with less money just plain out shouldnt own a pet and thats not right!!!

Good for taking action and an interest in government.
What are you hoping to accomplish? Just a cutesy little thing about how animals hurt, too? Because no politician will likely be impressed. If you're campaigning for a specific bill, then tune it for that.
Local government's the way to go, though. Issues like animal welfare are much more appropriate at the city or state level. The founding fathers wanted issues like these to be up to the individual states. National government should be focused on issues like national security. That's the way the system works. (Not to mention the fact that the more people you're representing, the less you'll be able to watch all the powerpoints people send you.)

If you are dead serious about this, you more than likely will not get it through that way, however you can stir the stink, by making a few extra copies, like our government likes paper trails, trust me on this, the center I work for is partly funded by federal funds, and they want an account of every thing, this is what they live for, paper trails.
So, hit your city, state etc going right on up to him about everything from lack of funds and how these people treat them. Add pictures, spend time in shelters, interview people that have to bust up and clean up these sadistic acts of cruelty done to these animals /With Pictures of these gross acts, and also those people that commit these acts, not personal interviews but use those as an in-site on what people are doing.
If you have to share it with a few news station such as CNN NBC, ABC, CBS, WAKE HIM and others up with it.
Because if you send it to just a few, they'll toss it more than likely.
If it's documented and out in the open they can not cover it at all.
Good Luck,

That's a good ideal hope it works. See if you can get pictures of abused animals or the tons of animals that are euthanized by shelters.
Good Luck!

I would get stats that show how many animals are in shelters and euthanized each year. The stats on the amount of animal cruelty cases in the US Etc.

Wow - where to begin. Why not go and get firsthand experience by volunteering for a rescue group or shelter? That will help you gather your thoughts. Look on Petfinder.com to see who's local for you. Dog rescue groups always need volunteers to transport and do other things. Good luck!

Bush doesn't care what so ever what you think. He would only care if you were rich.
If he really was a president who did care like Franklin Roosevelt, you should show him or maybe her about all of the sick animals and about the polluted atmosphere. Is it really safe for them? Animals need space to roam wide open spaces to roam unlike they have now.

The president doesn't have a heart, he truly doesn't care.
How about sending it to your state representative or local reps instead? You might get a whole lot further!
I have a ton of links, just email me.
