thanks for the great answers, minus the first one which had nothing to do with my question, but anyways.

sadly i have tried keeping her in one room.. doesnt work. also have tried spraying her with water, putting her nose in it.. all hasnt changed anything :[

i cant have her outside because i dont have the money to put food and water out for her and then food and water inside for my other cat. i am allergic to fleas and i just cannot have her bringing them around me and she will get them outside regardless of having frontline, etc its happened before when they were on it and my friends cat gave them fleas.

uhg its just so fustrating i dont know what to do with her anymore.

Sounds like you have checked into some potential reasons. Definitely make sure that there is one litter box per cat in the household- very important. And you might also try getting a different kind of box. For example, if you have covered ones...get open ones. And vice versa. Some cats just are picky. And the location of these boxes is key: near food? Not good. In a secluded spot? Good. And you might want to check to make sure your other cats (?- it sounds like you have more than one) aren't bothering her while she is using the box- that can really make them not want to go in it.

It definitely sounds like a behavior problem- I am sure your vet have info on this as well as some numbers to an animal behaviorist- which might be your best bet. They will have the best answers.

And unless you catch your cat in the act- any form of punishment will not work. After the act has passed- they have completely forgot about it. Rubbing her nose in it will not work. AT ALL- animals do not make that kind of connection. The only thing they sense is that you are made at them, which can also be done with words. And kicking her out of the house? Well, that could go wrong in so many ways.
The best thing is a firm 'NO!' And let her know it is unacceptable that way- she will respond. And please praise her if you catch her using the litter box- it will help so much!

I would guess your cat is trying to mark its territory. It might be a good idea to try and give her some space where the other cats can't go, make sure it has it's own litter tray and bed and food bowl. I would also make sure that any cleaning products are not ammonia based as this smells of piss and encourages cats to piss on the same spot again and again maybe you can give your cat a treat when you see her using the litter tray (but sitting watching a litter tray all day is very boring) or maybe when you catch her in the act of pissing where she shouldn't be squirt her with a water gun to discourage her ( and I don't mean use a supersoaker water gun)

Is she peeing or spraying? A non-spayed cat will back up to things and spray like a male, to bring suitors into the area. If she's not spayed, then getting her fixed will solve the problem.

If she's squatting to pee, that's another story entirely. Make sure her box is in a quiet area without high traffic, that it's not a covered box, and that she's not chased out of it when trying to do her business. If she's declawed--not using the box because it hurts the feet is common.

A 'quick fix' is to get or make 'stud pants' which use a feminine napkin pad (thin one) to stop urine accidents. They're available online.

Put her in room with a litter box. Don't let her have access to the rest of the house. Is she spayed? It sounds as if she very upset about something. You should clean with special cleaning products made to get animal scents out of carpets. if she can smell her scent she is more likely to spray there again.

try isolating the offender in a room by itself, (with a litter box of course) for a few days. some cats given so many choices of places to go just go everywhere !! give it's usual food and water. if shes good and uses her box praise and a little treat and allot of patience . let the cat gradually have more space. for short periods and return her to the room when you can'.t watch her.. good luck my friend

first of all, thank you lots for being responsible and not allowing them to outdoors! sturdy for you. as a techniques with the aid of fact the cats using you insane, properly, that's what they DO! you need to confess that even although they might make you desire to tear your hair out you nonetheless finally end up giggling at them, good? All i will advise is which you place away any fragile products that are powerful to you and luxuriate interior the tutor. they're going to decelerate slightly as they become previous yet will nonetheless get the "zoomies" each now and then no count how previous they're. provide them some catnip and enable them to get super loopy till they positioned on themselves out. After a competent catnip buzz they should bypass out for a at the same time as, lol. sturdy good fortune with the kitties, and luxuriate in!

First off, for the second person that answered not all cats can be outdoor... maybe this girl lives in the city and doesn't want her cats to get hit by a car! second. i know this might sound cruel but gently rub her face into the spot that she pees on. She will quickly learn that "I don't like my face in my own mess so i'll be going to my litter box."

First, what kind of cat is she ? My persian started doing that too. It is probably a behavior issue. If she can be kept out of rooms with carpet (which holds the urine smell) for as long as possible (like a couple of weeks) and have the carpet cleaned with enzyme removers, it should solve the problem.

I feel for you, but clean your mouth out with soap if you want good answers from good people. No one likes someone who swears when talking about their cat, whether its directed at them or not. And swears, bad words, whatever.
