Do guppies in a one gallon tank need a heater?

do they just go to some rescue group or something? Same goes with the other animals, like the cats and bunnies and stuff.

Ive had beta fish bfore. All of which died after three days of having them. I don't remember alot about when i had them but i never allowed them to sit in their cup in the new waer to adjust to it nor did i add alittle of my water to the cup every thirty minutes.

I fed them bloodworms in the containers. I never paid alot of attention o the fish i picked out. Now i know these are all faults but i'm asking how to better acomidate a new beta to a new tank so he survives hopefully for years to come!

So please, give me little guides and tips on how to keep a beta alive and what to look at when i buy him from the pet store (my only option for buying one) because i want this one to live so my dad won't thik all fish we get will die!

has anyone had first hand experience with keeping red tailed sharks (or similar that you would recommend instead) with blind cave tetras? it will be in a 10gallon tank that is going to be well planted and with plenty of hiding spaces, so keep anything besides red tailed sharks within that tank size please.

please note, I've done research and I'm still doing some, so if you don't have first hand experience don't both answering because I can do my own research.

the first few months when i got my baby turtle, it was eating fine and swimming and looked healthy. i bought a filter,water heater,light,basking dock. it used the basking dock all the time. but all of a sudden one day it just sleeps,doesnt eat,and doesnt bask on the dock anymore. i have another turtle in the tank also that seems ok. i dont want to take it to the vet because i ran out of money. today i purchased the reptisafe
water conditioner and i wondering if maybe the chrlorine in the water hurts its eyes and maybe thats the problem. i have resaerched the internet and found a few other people
with turtles of similar symptoms but all of them have different opinions and i dont know what to believe.

First, I'd like to say my dog is OK! But here's what happened last night.

Long story short: my Rottweiler mix started gagging after we went up to bed for the night. First he threw up a chunk of sheer curtain panel, a piece of a sleeve from one of my nightgowns, and a huge mass of what appeared to be dryer lint. Then he puked up a plastic doggie poop bag (unused). For the life of me I don't know how he managed to eat these things without our knowing it unless he did it right after we went to bed for the night.

Thank God it came back up instead of getting lodged into his digestive tract or something.

Is there a reason why dogs do things like this? Is he not getting enough fiber in his diet? Is he insane? Is he just a big pig?

He doesnt have fleas, he doesnt scratch them . They seem to mostly be on the top of his back near his tail and around his neck. He lets me pick them off like it feels good and usueally a little bit of hair comes with it. I have known other cats to get this too so I think it has to be somewhat common. I just would like to know what causes it . It seems like after I pick them all off after a while they go away . But then they come back after a few months unpredictable.
What do you think it is and what causes it? I would like to make it go away forever.

Our four-month-old puppy is afraid of his reflection in our black glass front stove. I have covered the stove front with aluminum foil, dull side out, for now. Is there anything I can do to condition him or will he outgrow it in time?

I have a male cat that is around 13 years old. He has always been large weighing 20 lbs. In the past 2 months he has lost a lot of weight he now weighs around 15 lbs. or less. He does not act sick, his coat the same, his eyes are clear. The only thing different is this large weight loss, anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

We have a 55 gallon aquarium with a 4 in. live sand bed. We put the live sand in with saltwater and let it run for a month before adding fish. We don't have any live rock, but within three days our 3 yellowtailed blue damsels are found dead in the same spot with what appears to be nipped fins and the body picked at. When purchased and acclimated the little fish appeared fine, I've tested the levels almost everyday since we set up our tank. Amonia has been 0, pH between 8.2 and 8.4 and Nitrate and Nitrite 0. Like I said 3 fish, one died every day? What could it be?

Does anyone have any suggestions for helping with seasonal allergies for pets? My dog is currently on an allergy serum but is mid cycle & is still have discomfort from his allergies. His biggest complaint is itchiness. Any suggestions?

We have a problem in our tank. There is algae that we can't seem to get rid of. My husband believes that it is living mostly in the filter and would like to know what the best water temperature to clean the fliter out would be, or if that would even help.

Also, can you recommend a permenant solution? We have a 55 gallon tank with 5 oscars, 2 kissing fish and 2 pletcos. We are using 2-40 gallon filters.

It is a Corn Snake and ate its first pinkie yesterday. I have searched for the whole day and can't find it. Is there any way to lure it back into its cage. It has only eaten once and its currently eating pinkies. Please help me!!!
