Gee, how about never?
The real question is, when should you get your dog fixed?
90% of pit bulls in shelters are euthanized.
How are you going to guarantee that none of your dog's pups end up there? Futhermore, how are you going to live with the fact that, with 6-10 puppies in a litter, you have taken away homes for 6-10 shelter pit bulls.
EDIT: Furthermore, you clearly don't know the first thing about breeding. Dogs should NEVER be bred until they are AT LEAST two years of age. She also needs her hips examined. A bunch of other health tests. Like another answerer says: I don't know much about breeding, therefore I DO NOT BREED.
BUT I seem to know more than you. PLEASE spay your dog.
EDIT: Pardon me if I seem rude. I have answered questions from you before, and you do have a very beautiful pit. If you want more pits, please adopt. I am so frustrated with people asking about breeding when they are clearly ignoring the shelter situation and the fact that they simply don't know enough about breeding.
Check out www.petfinder.com. Plenty of pits in need.
I know of another website that shows dogs on death row. I will be back when I find that.
EDIT: Here we go- www.dogsindanger.com
EDIT: Your dog HAS a family! YOU! Dogs don't know that they are 'missing out' on having puppies. If you really want your dog to have a happy, loving life with other dogs adopt another pit!

Only after you find a mentor in dog breeding this breed and have health checks for your dog to screen for health problems, your dog may not be a candidate for breeding at all. Why do you want your dog to have pups at all is really the point. To make money, to improve the breed, to have more pups just like your dog? This is not a good time to be breeding pits at all, I would find out a ton of info about breeding before you even think of breeding your dog.

Your dog doesn't need a litter. She won't even realise if she doesn't have one. She WILL realise she has one, however, if her pups have oversized heads and she has to have her guts laid out on an operating table at 3 in the morning for a C-section.
Honestly, breeding your dog is just not necessary. It's not just about getting her pregnant and waiting for her to have pups. Do that, and you are just risking your dog's life, the puppies' lives and worsening the overpopulation crisis that force thousands of pit bulls just like yours to be killed every day.
To answer your question: Breed your girl after she has finished her Ch title at conformation shows, after she has passed OFA and CERF tests and a temperament test and after you have discovered ALL her genetic flaws and found a stud who can compensate for them.

There is no reason to ever breed a pit bull.
No reputable breeder of a champion, fully health screened dog would refer to her as a "pit bull" since that's not even the breeds real name. Therefore you are not a reputable breeder. Only reputable breeders should ever breed dogs. The rest, like the litter you want to have, just crowds the kill shelters.

NEVER!! Fix your PET!!! Anyway a dog should be at least 2 years, and if you do it the right way you shouldn't make any money. The reason for breeding is to BETTER the breed and you sound like you don't have a clue....

Well she is beautiful, but that doesn't mean you should breed her. I was at an animal shelter just yesterday and over 80% of the dogs that were there were pit bulls. Too many of them end up in shelters and it's not fair for you to breed more that may end up there someday. I say just enjoy your baby and get her spayed.

Never. Before you breed, consider the following:
- is she a champion?
- is she AKC registered?
- are you actively showing her?
- is she so exceptional according to the breed standard?
- has she been tested that she's free from any genetic problems?
- do you have any good homes for the pups?
- are you willing to have sleepless nights to take care of the pups?
If any of the above answers is no, please spay her. Shelters already have dogs population problems. She's a female, it doesn't mean that you should breed her.

How about you take a walk down to your local animal shelter and take a look see at all the homeless pit bulls.
Then come back and tell us you would like to add to the problem by creating even more Pit bulls.
Thanks.

you can breed her after she wins some shows in conformation and weight pulling/agility/schutzhund......
and after she has her hips checked out, all tests done, and after she is the perfect example of what the APBT should be. After she is ADBA registered, and either UKC or AKC (as an Am Staff). After the stud has met the same requirements above, after he has exceeded all breed standards, and can work.
Then, you need a mentor, a REPUTABLE breeder, who will help you, even at 4 am when your female has complications. Then, seriously consider WHY you want to breed, what will be your purpose? Why will you do what you do?
After all this, you will be ready to maybe consider breeding....
maybe.

I'm sure the millions of Pitbulls in shelters, especially those in kill shelters are praying it will be never. In many shelters Pits outnumber other breeds 5-1. Do you really want to add to those figures?
Please think again and have your girl spayed.
