I got a nice dog. half lab/half pitbull. what's the insides of my dog look like - do dogs gotz lungs, liver? what parts they have inside that we don't got? Also, why do my dog sleep with his mouth closed with the tip of his tongue hanging out? What do dogs think about? My dog seem to NOT like mentally retarded people! I don't understand how he knows they are "different."

my rabbit started making a grunting sound a few hrs ago and about 10-20 secs later i got up and he was lying down and wasnt able to get up he's eating and drinking but not very fast like usual we arent sure how old he is but i have had him for bout 4 yrs. He has lyied down twice plus the first time making 3 times and every single time i have had to help him up. my mom said he couldnt have a stroke but idk someone help what could be wrong

they both do it now ..the little one was the only doing it at first in the cage and i have alterd the little ones eating schedules changed from wet dog food to dry and she still does it in the cage while i am not there. Now the big one is doing it during the day while i am not there i put her in the bathroom so she does not roam the apartment the little one goes in a cage i also tried a small cage for her but that still didn't work help me i am on my last leg

i have a 5 month old silky terrier x jack russell. when is a pup no longer considered a pup and able to have adult food? there are lots more varieties of adult food than puppy food. i live in a country town and do not have access to large supermarkets, so i do not have the choices that you get at larger shops. there is only one flavour puppy food, but lots of adult flavours.but i dont want to feed him the wrong thing and make him sick.he also eats dried food, and occasionally fresh cooked meat.

Give me some ideas of what else to put in this binder.
There are more but I forget them...
I don't really want riding stuff except if it is like Trail ride/Show stuff.
She is kinda a begginer.
But I want everything to help her, that may come along.

since i got a kitten and my wee budgie died my dog seems dead depressed!

i dont know if its cause of the kitten or the budgie.

it doesnt matter what i do she has sad eyes!

My new 3 month old puppy (siberian husky mix) that I adopted from the shelter had his first exam yesterday and the vet believes that he has the early signs of hip dysplasia.

Anyway, we noticed that he was very skittish and when my husband would try to play with him, he would accidently startle him and he would pee all over himself. We (the vet, myself, and my husband) came to the conclusion that his previous owners had beat him because he did his puppy thing and peed in their house and chewed their things.

We're going back in three weeks to finish up his series of shots and to get an x-ray on his hind leg to make sure that it is hip dysplasia and not a deep bone bruise.

Now, what I want to know is if any one's dog has this and what you did to correct it? Which surgery did your dog get?How successful was it? Is there anything else I should look for besides the way he sits, walks, runs, plays?

ANY stories, personal experiences would help.

I have a 2 year old dachshund and she's very sick. She has blood shot red eyes, shes shivering, she so tired she can't move, she's not eating or drinking. (though i'm trying my best to give her more water)

I went to the vet, and it cost me 150 just to have them tell me three things
1)Your dog is sick
2) she is 80 percent dehydrated
3) its going to be 800 dollars for one night of intensive care.

We had no choice but to take her home, we don't have that kind of money. i think she contracted a parasite from out Pond in the back yard (she likes to chase the fishes around). i have 2 other dogs. Can someone give me any advice? I don't have a choice, but i'm still trying my best.

My cat, Peanut, who i had for 10 years and grew up with died yesterday. I can't remember a time without her. We're not really sure how or when she died. I thought I would never have to see her in a little box all covered up or even have find a special place to lay her to rest. It's so weird not having her around.. and I can't get comfort from anything. I have three other cats but none of them are like her. I'm besides myself with sorrow and I don't know what i'm going to do without her. How did you cope with your little friend's death and find some comfort, and ideas for me? I really need it.

Why is it that when I scratch my cat right where his tail connects with his "butt" (for lack of a better term) he lays with his mouth open for a bit then attacts my arm? Is it because he likes it or doesn't? I am not sure either way. When he attacks my arm he will bite then licks my hand. Is this a sensitive spot for him?

I was feeding both, but I found that my Mastiff puppy was getting very finicky and was having loose stool. I am feeding kibble exclusively now, and it took the bugger the better part of a week to accept the fact that he wasn't getting any extra goodies! I'm serious, no table scraps, no treats of any real substance but Milk Bones and Meaty Bones. I felt kind of bad about it at first because I wouldn't want to live on dry cereal for the rest of my life, would you? But they are dogs at the end of the day, aren't they? And I got so sick and tired of cleaning up the squirts, not to mention spending $100.00 per month on dog food! What has been your experience with feeding kibble? Does the dog just live on it until the day they die or do they ever turn up their nose and refuse to eat it? Just curious, because I had a very spoiled pup on my hands up until a week ago. Thanks!

Real name: Scout (standard poodle)
Nicknames: Scoop, Scoopy, Pouches (I have no idea where this one comes from, Scoo, Scootches, Printchess (a form of princess), Scoutiest

Real name: Maya (10 month old golden reriever)
Nick names: Maya-Moo, Mooey, Moo-cow , Moose, Moose, Booger, Bluey (or Blue)

Real name: Charlie (lab mix)
Nick Names: Chuckles, Chuckley, Chewy, Chew

So when refrencing all three, I will often say Moo, Scoo, and Chew

I bought my puppy @ 4 weeks of age. The breeder told me he had stopped weaning and that he was ready to go to his new home. I knew this was a bad move because he was way too young. He is now 8 weeks old and he is VERY skinny. I always have alot of food out for him. Dry pedigree puppy food and wet pedigree puppy food. His appetite is terrible he rarely eats, and He hardly ever drinks the Esbilac Puppy Formula I got from pet supplies plus....WHAT DO I DO!?? PLEASE PLEASE HELP. I am not depriving him of food or water or nething. I love and take care of him greatly but this situation saddens me everyday. I even took him back to the breeder so he can wean on the mother but he doesnt want to/forgot how to....

I have three cats: a 14 year old neutered tom, an 8 year old neutered female and a 5 month old un-neutered tom kitten.

The puppy will be 11 weeks old and is used to playing with a kitten the same age as mine. my next door neighbour has a dog and my cats are not scared of him.

My puppy will have a crate, which she will be in when not supervised by me - she will be with me, when I am not at work (I work part time). I have a crate for the car and she will come with me when I go visiting, to see to my horses, when I go shopping; basically, when I am not at work, she will be with me.

My cats have the full run of the house, she will not be allowed upstairs at all.

Advice please on where to go from here :D
