Ive been to the vets and they have said they would have to remove part of his right ear to take the polps away, but because of his diabeties i'm worried it won't heal, and he will suffer more, also his ear is cut inside where he keeps scratching it,which has made it even worse.
The vet said it usualy comes back, but would be easier to treat the next time because part of his ear won't be there, but how will he cope with all that.
I just want whats best for him,and the thought of him suffering perhaps even more eats me up inside as i love him to bits.
Animal lovers i need some advice please, this is so hard for me.

could anyone tell me off natural prevention treatment i hate to use all thsese chemical preperations, i read somewhere that using garlic in his food could help.

sorry for going on a bit but been on the internet looking at pics of fleas for the past 24hrs yuch!
how often should i treat him ,thought it was just a summer thing
i also think he got them from the neighbours cat who is infested with them does frontline work preventing them as well

my husky is too unstable and restless. he keeps running here and there all over the house for no reason at all, when he should be relaxing. he just seems to have too much extra energy in him. should i buy electric shock collar? the manufacturer claims the electric shock on neck will be mild and doesn't harm the animal.

Hi, I just got a dog 2 days ago to keep my jack russel company. She was a free to good home and is a 1y/o Maltese not spayed and lived with her mother and father (dogs) which are a breeding couple. When i got her, her fur had been let go and when i gave her a haircut i noticed she had enlared nipples that are seeping milk i cant feel anything in her belly, but arent completly sure what to feel for. Is she pregnant? if so how far do you think and also she must have bred with her father, will the puppies be ok?

Live in japan. Japanese man gave me them . My kids want to keep them but there are like 50 or more of the little boogers. I got a small set up but not sure how many I can keep in the tank 12liters. Everything is in different measurements here. BUt how do I choose which ones to keep? And what do I do with the rest. I dont speak Japanese and there is not a local pet shop that I know of where I can just give them away. I looked online and could have some pretty valuable fish, and have no clue where they came from. Any ideas will be good. I am not a fish person.

My dog pounces up and down on his two paws in front of my chihuahua and barks. Is he trying to be playful or is a sign of aggression?
Btw... my dog is 5 months

I moved her into a breeding box about a week ago. She started to gave birth about 8 hours ago I am thinking, the first fry was still born. She started to have another about 3 hours later, but it took her another 5 hours to give birth to that fish which was also still born. So at this point in 8 hours, there have been 2 fry born and both were still born. What is going wrong here? Does it normally take a livebearer 5 + hours to birth a single fish? Why are they dead? Is there anything I can do? I hope this made sense any thanks in advance for advice, or info you can give.

I have fantail goldfish i got at walmart over a year ago and he is fine. i recently (2 weeks ago) purchased a telescope eye goldfish and put him with my other fish. i fed them last nite and when i came back a couple hours later, the telescope eye was dead...ive read that telescope eye goldfish have a hard time seeing and sometimes dont get as much food as fish with normal eyes and therefore shouldnt be housed with these fish. is this true? i would like to add a black moore to my aquarium, is this a bad idea?

I can only afford brands like 9 lives (about $12/bag...20lbs)
Is there anything that would be about the same cost, but better for her? I really want to feed her the best I can for the price.

Thanks

large breed dogs such as Old English sheep dogs, huskys, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Great Pyrenees, and dozens more were bred to withstand cold weather and harsh elements and were never house pets until just recently (the last 60 years or so) wouldn't the breed have died out if it couldn't handle cold weather? why is it that everyone is concerned that a dog with a thick coat that has lived outside for hundreds if not thousands of years is going to freeze to death? i mean i agree that they should have a nice dog house but isn't it a bit over kill trying to have a 85lb house dog?

Ok, so I have read a TON about hairless rats and have decided to get two male hairless rats. I just have a few problems :S
First, I need a breeder is Portland Oregon (or beaverton, tigard, and gresham). I know that they do much better with a same sex partner but, I am someone who chooses favorites. I will probably prefer one over the other (maybe not though) but also, I just want to know how they do alone. I already have names for them too For the larger male Peregrine (the real name of Mary from Lord of the Rings) and the smaller one Pippin (the smaller brother of Peregrine from LOTR) In the movie their last names are Took but should this be included in their name? And the reason I might prefer one is I usually like the smaller one, or maybe one has a better personality. I don't want this to happen but I want my rat to be happy so I am going to. I am still trying to like both my dogs the same lol.
i try to find one trait from each one that I like better than the other.

I am in doubt about my friend's tank. Is it overstocked? He has a 75 gallon tank but he's filling it only up to about 60-65 gallons! He has 2 fully-grown Red Pacus and 1 Blind Cave Fish.

I need arguments for yes, and no.
I have to write this essay, and even though I'm neutral, my teacher says you HAVE TO pick a side. So, I need people to help me.
So I say it's wrong to keep pets? Or should I say it's alright to keep pets? And why? This has to be a 700 word essay and I have no arguments what so ever. The fact that I don't keep a pet doens't help, either.

The more opinions, the better. I really need examples, too.

So this is your challenge for this week, to answer this question.
Is it wrong to keep pets when so many humans in the world are starving? and WHY????

...thanks...(I REALLY NEED THIS)

My silky terrier had a flea on him and I don't know where it came from. We keep him in the garage and only put him out in our front yard once in a while. What is the best way to prevent this one flea from turning into a million. I take him to the groomer's on a regular basis for a bath and haircut.
