we can smell that our toy spitz has gone poop because the whole room will stink and it makes me gag but unless we actually see him do it we can never seem to find the poop.

This morning the smell was so strong it woke me and I could barely breath. I got my hubby up and we looked all over the bedroom floor but found nothing and the smell seemed to weaken as we looked. My hubby swears he saw him in the corner looking like he was eating something but I didn't see him.

We have him in a small area of about 3x3 feet next to our bed. But looked and looked and did not find.

Hubby took him outside and he did NOT poop like he normally does....he only peed several times and he did do that on the wee wee pad that was in one corner of his "room".

Can he actually be scarfing down what he is putting out within a few secs and if so....can't he get really sick from that?

Also, he does try to eat other dogs poop when we walk him.

This is disgusting me. I don't know what to do!

i am a college student and my roomate has a dog where the dog somehow got fleas. the dog lies down in my room from time to time but lately, i've been gangbanged by small brown jumping fleas. i've had 23 bites so far and my roomate (the dog sleeps with him) hasn't gotten bit once! i've washed my bed sheets, blankets, vacuumed countless times while not allowing the dog to come in anymore. the fleas look like young adults ever since i vacuumed. i am a full time student, work, shadow a professional and can't handled being raped by bugs at the same time. what should i do?

I have my baby ball in a 10 gallon tank for the time being and i have been wondering about the humidity level. i have a cheap thermometer and hygromometer or whatever they're called and i've noticed last night that the humidity level shot up to around 70 %. Is this too high for ball pythons and how should i get it down a little to make it better for the little guy.

Also, is it a good idea to get a red or blue light for the day time and a ceramic heat bulb and at night turn the actual light off and put the ceramic light in becuase in my dorm room his cage is dropping to around 70-75 without his basking light and i read that no heat change is desirable for them if it's possible to avoid it. he does have an undertank heater so is this enough or should i find a way to get the heat up during the night?

Just bought some piranhas and wanted to feed them live fish every now and then. Since I've read that feeder fish causes too much problems, what kind of fish can I feed them to be safe. Is there any cheap out there that's not feeder fish. thanks

I collect her in a week's time (from a reputible rehoming home), but I'm a little worried about her already. She really is a darling when I saw her at the home and the nurse did tell me that she has a heart murmur (grade 1), but she's ok and doesn't need any medication for it. The nurse said she probably got it through having a litter at a young age and it put a strain on her heart. What do you think?

I stopped using Whiskas as its junk food for cats. Iams because of its PETA blacklisted status. Started using Nature's Best which had a dramatic change in behaviour with the sulky one (George) and less/no fur shedding with both George and Snaffle. However George has started throwing up perfectly digested cat food! He's healthy otherwise. Would appreciate tips.

well we have lots of animals dog, cats, rabbits, chickens, toads, & guinea pigs. But my step daughter doesn't have a pet of her own. Before my kids and I moved in she had a rabbit that lived with us that was hers but he's big and heavy and she is frighten of him, he has scratched her a few times.

Anyway I was thinking about getting my step daughter her own pet. we only have her half the week but I don't mind feeding it while she is at her mums. clean out etc will be when she is here.
I know she wants to help with the rabbits etc but finds herself just watching as my other children just do it coz they have their chores to do with the animals.

I was thinking alone the lines of a hamster or a rat something small and in doors. what do people think??

She has been asking her mum for a dog or any pet for that matter but her mum has said no, 'the cats wouldn't like it' which has upset her.

please people..my problem is a lil big but please dont neglect it.read the additional part also[add details].i have 2 RES turtles. One is 3 inches long and the other is 4.5 inches long. Both of them suffer from some shell fungal infection. They have white spots on their shells.Ikeep them in a tank of dimensions=4 feet*1 feet*1.5 feet. The tank water is cleaned every 2 weeks along with the filter and the tank is provided with a powerful filter also.I stay in india and ive searched for UVA and UVB lights in many pet shops and aquariums and they havent even heard of them. They say that they provide turtle tanks with normal aquarium lights and it works fine.So they have and auarium light in their tank.Till date, they havent suffered from any disease, soft, shell, etc except white spots.I was told to appy an iodine povoidine solution on their shells and keep them to dry for a few hours and i did that for about 2 months but didnt succeed

Ok, i've read some of the questions and people say to take your dog to the vet right away after they vomit.

My dog has vomit before, last month, but after that he still seems healthy, should i still take him to the vet?

I recently adopted al puppy from the pound i live in a small town and only one lady runs the whole pound. this lady is very sweet and caring and we couldn't ask for a better person for that job. She had a puppy situation about a week ago where she had close to 40 puppies brought to the shelter from various owners some of wich were pit bulls. within days the pit bulls had torn eachother up so bad two of them actually lost ears(9 week old puppies) they all had to be put to sleep for aggression my question is this... isn't it more likely than not that agression is bread into these animals?

I have a very friendly stray cat that has been roaming around outside for the past few months. Now that its getting cold, and I can't bring her inside, I made her a shelter out of a box and blanket, and put it in an area out of the wind about 10 feet from my front stoop. The problem is she still likes my stoop and climbing on my screen door at 3 AM. How can I get her to use the shelter?

Personally I would say that there is nothing wrong with that, but people just keep telling me that it is not right. I'm 5 months preg. and I have 2 male Pitbull dogs (15 mos. old), who consider me their mom (i am), and will only become aggressive when I am around both because they get jelous of each other; they're only aggressive to strangers, but not towards anyone in my family. The problem is that I will be staying with the baby in the same room my doggies use to share when they were pups, and obviously my dogs are going to see me with the baby and stuff. I mean, I don't know how they will react, or if it's safe to have the baby around them; my dogs are my kids too, I can't prefer the baby over the dogs because it is not fair. Plus I've heard that newborns shouldn't be in a household were there are certain "animals". I just want to know if any of you have experienced something similar, cause I always think about that issue, but I really don't see anything wrong...

I have always been scared of birds -- all animals actually. I have never been attacked by a bird, but I hate pigeons and those grackels or crackels. They hang in packs. I live in Texas now and when the weather gets bad and it's getting ready to rain or storm, the trees are FILLED to capacity with black birds. I mean the branches are weighed down with birds and when cars pass by or honk they fly off into the sky and the sky turns black.

I will literally take an alternate route if I'm walking and there is a bird in my path. I have heard that some will attack you but most won't, but I am still scared. Also, it's not true when people say the bird is scared of you and will fly away. They always stand right in the way when I cross their path.

Eeeewww! They scare the crap out of me. Is this normal?

Ok, like whenever I wake my dog up, he gives me the evil eye, or sometimes, I'll be sitting there watching TV, or on my computer, and I'll look at him, and he'll be giving me the evil eye!!! I play with him a lot, but I obviously can't play with him 24/7, and when I'm relaxing, he gives me the evil eye...

It looks almost identical to this:
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t316/Josh995/Toby/P1010006.jpg
(This is a picture from Halloween, so just never mind the costume, and here I'm sure he was squinting from the flash of the camera, but that's what the look he gives me looks like)

Is my dog smart enough to actually know he's giving me the evil eye?

Thanks.
