Ok, i've read some of the questions and people say to take your dog to the vet right away after they vomit.

My dog has vomit before, last month, but after that he still seems healthy, should i still take him to the vet?

If your dog vomited last month and you didn't take him to the vet when it happened, he's still acting normal and healthy, don't bother. It's persistent vomiting over a short period of time that you have to worry about. My dog vomits periodically too and is otherwise healthy.

If you dog is actually vomiting poo there is a blockage in its bowel. You need to see a vet. especially that that there is blood. The sooner the better. In other words right now just take him and don't bother to ring just GO! If your vet is in that profession for the RIGHT reasons s/he will work something out for you. I know I mine did when my mum's dog was hit by a car and I had no money because mum's was away at the time.

only you know how sick youre dog was Hun.
Vomiting is quite common in itself and not always a case for needing to go rushing down to the vet if its just vomiting alone.
If however the dog is vomiting with other symptoms like lack of appetite or not drinking or has a very low energy level these are all signs of concern and yes you need to go to the vet.

honestly, you know your pet better than anyone. if your dog yakked once, but otherwise behaves normally, then he is probably fine. if he is vomiting repeatedly, has diarrhea also, is lethargic, has stopped eating and/or drinking, then certainly, get him to the vet.

my dog happens to have a very sensitive stomach. she tolerates few dog foods or treats, only chews bully sticks or hooves, never gets people food except pumpkin or peanut butter, and even gets carsick. after hundreds of dollars in vet bills, the vet and i determined that she is just a yakmeister. she still yaks at least once a week, but is otherwise incredibly healthy, so says her vet.

so, as long as your dog seems fine otherwise, you probably don't need to worry about the occasional barfing. just my two cents.

I always figure if it's continues and more than 12 hours continuous or with other symptoms then it's a warrant to take to the vet but if it's just a thing that happens every so often. We as people vomit on occassion and don't ruch to teh doctors but if it's continuous or with ohter symptoms then we might go.

Need to ask a vet. German Shepherds have very sensitive stomach's. Don't know what breed of dog you have. Let vet know if it is vomiting food or just phlem. Make sure food is fresh sometimes with food with no preservatives it goes bad at the bottom of the bag. Might also have something lodged in intestine.

It's best that you do take him to a vet. He may have some under lying trouble you can't see. That way you will know for sure. Good Luck!!

He probably was regurgitating and not vomiting. Here is a site that may help you out. If his belly is not moving but his chest is, he is probably just regurgitating, which is common.
Have you ever burped and some food came up?
