If dogs do not show a reaction to the chocolate they eat, then they should be fine. If they throw up and or have uncomfortable bowel movements then you should probably check with your vet.

He should be fine. Luckily it ate the two least poisonous types of chocolate. If the dog starts vomitting, panting, shaking ect then you need to bring it to the vet. Otherwise if you bring it to the vet now while its fine, all that they will do is observe it and then if nothing happens, send him back to you with a nice bill or take care if he gets worse. so my advice is to watch him over the next few hours and see how it looks.

I can only tell you what my vet said. "If it's around the amount of chocolate as a bag of chocolate chips you use for baking cookies then it needs to be seen. Chocolate has caffeine, which make the heart race and dogs have a fast heart rate already. That's straight from my vet. Hope it helps! Good luck!

Usually chocolate isn't fatal until over a pound of consumption. Beagles are pretty hardy. Watch for diarrhea or lethargic activity. White chocolate doesn't contain the cocoa abut the caffeine may affect her.

Someone earlier asked the same question.
Chocolate is poisonous to animals. Go to the Vet ER. At the very least call one or your Vet's after hours line or pager. They might just tell you certain symptoms to look out for & if she exhibits them to bring her in immediately. Remember, this is poison to animals. If you had ingested poison you would have to call Poison Control &/or go to the hospital. It is the same for animals.
I'll say a prayer for you. Hope she'll be alright.

As long as the chocolate was milk, and not dark, he should be ok. It's the actual cocoa that is poisonus, and milk and white have so little that they have to eat a very large amount to get seriously ill. He will probably have the runs though, and /or vomit, so get ready...
yikes!!

You need to take her to a vet.
According to Cornell Veterinary website: "Approximately one-half ounce or less of baking chocolate per pound body weight can cause problems. Even small amounts can cause pancreatic problems"
