its not going to harm your dog unless she ate a ton (like a bag of hershy kisses) if it was a piece like half a hershy bar then shes fine.. just wait it out.. if she gets worse then take her to a vet..

Without telling
1- How old?
2- What breed?
3- What is the size of the chocolate bar?
It’s hard to tell that the amount of chocolate is toxic or no
But the symptoms appearing on your dog means that he is intoxicated so take him to the nearest vet clinic they will do their job

Chocolate is incredibly poisonous for dogs. the Vomit is a sign that it ate a large enough quantity( depending on the size of the animal). Is it whining, peeing more than usual, panting? regardless you need to get this animal to a vet or emergency vet asap if you want it to survive. It might be ok now but it can get much worse quickly.

Here's a website that might help you. How dangerous it is for your dog depends on what the kind of chocolate was and how much of it your dog ate. http://www.talktothevet.com/ARTICLES/DOGS/chocolatetoxic.HTM
Here's another website that says basically the same thing.
http://www.netpetmagazine.com/articles/choc.tox.html
It's just good to have more than one source. :)
Hope that helps.

Take her to the vet. If your dog weights a lot, and just ate a small piece, there shouldn't be nothing wrong....but if she ate too much chocolate for her weight, than it might be more dangerous.

yeah, seriously, i love how all these self-righteous people are telling you your dog is going to die. he will be fine. you might want to take him to the vet to help him recover a little faster and ease your mind, but it would take a hell of a lot of chocolate to kill a dog. and yes, i actually have had several dogs, and yes, they have all accidentally ingested varying amounts of chocolate from time to time, so you will be fine.

You need to take her to a vet.
According to Cornell Veterinary website: "Approximately one-half ounce or less of baking chocolate per pound body weight can cause problems. Even small amounts can cause pancreatic problems"

It is good that she threw up. Hopefully, she got some of it out of her system. Chocolate is poisonous to animals. I would at the very least call your vet. Normally, they can be paged in emergencies.
