How about her bedding? Should she just lie on a folded blanket large enough for her to stretch out?

By the way, it sounds like i'm clueless because my parents took her to the vet...I was at work the whole day. I come home from work at around midnight, so this was the first time seeing her with the casts. My younger sister, her hubby, and my parents were the ones who were in direct contact with the vet. Since they are all asleep (1am), it was my father who stood up till I got home and gave me some "quick tips" if you can even call them that.

Everyday I am up all night with the cats till around 7am, then I go to bed. I usually hang out in my garage, with the door cracked open so they come and go when they please. I hang out in the garage to get away from my noisy family, watch movies, and act my cats' doorman who meow whenever they want to go inside, eat, or go to bed. Usually Nala will just sneak up, jump onto my lap, and fall asleep as I watch movies. They are all indoor cats they play outdoors.

She is freaking out right now. How does she poo when she cant even squat/open legs

Yes she has too stay inside for 3 months and that really bothers her. Maybe I should say she is a "free spirit" instead of calling her an outdoor cat (normal definition).

She hates being cooped up indoors when shes awake...maybe she has a boyfriend or something. She will meow aloud till someone lets her out. Love's the only thing I can think of that would make a cat want to go outside so badly. My personal cat Mochi is an introvert like me and hes happy to be napping on my lap or inside on the couch.

Nala is my sister's cat is I guess she's a party girl just like my sister is, always out on the town, but in before curfew.

Try and keep her as confined as possible, she will go to the toilet where and how she feels most comfortable but you may need to change her bedding quite often. Try placing her food right in front of her so that she doesn't have to move to eat or drink she as she will be quite saw for a while... try giving her extra special attention she would be feeling quite anxious about the whole situation

Poor baby! I would be grumpy, too!

For the time being-the next few days, I would leave her be. She is sore and handling her will make it worse. Get some pee pads or blue underpads to put under her to help with cleanup. I would also get some baby receiving blankets and quilts to use for bedding. They are so easy to wash and dry.

After a few days, then try taking her to her box to see if she will use it. Did the vet tell you how to keep her casts dry?

What do you feed her? If you feed her canned food, add a little water to the food to help with her water intake. It will also keep the food moist and easy for her to eat, too. You may need to carry her water dish to her, if you leave it close she will spill it.

After all this, have you considered making her an indoor only kitty? She may not be real excited about the outdoors now that she has been injured so badly.

Hope she is feeling better soon.

Purrs and prayers to you and kitty.

Ask the vet. Maybe if you put a pile of litter on a corner of the bedding she will use that. Cats are very clean and she might try to hold it too long if you just leave her on the bedding. The food and drink shouldn't be a problem, just leave some for in the area where she is. Some type of a shallow plastic tub would work for everything.

WOW - did you really just say that your cat got hit by a car and has two broken legs and that she "has to stay inside for 3 months". So does this mean you're going to let her back outside even though she just NEARLY GOT KILLED and now is in a great deal of pain? I'm not even going to answer your question - you have me so pissed off right now. You shouldn't even own pets!
