If by nasty you mean smelly, dirty colored, or infected get your bi*ch to the vet. That spells infection that could take both her and the puppies.
If you mean clear with some blood in then the bi*ch is about to give birth. Hope you have her whelping box ready, because it won't be long now.

Good Morning well at least here it is.
The mucus your seeing is very normal as long as it is clear. This can be expelled as early as a few days before labor begins. You will need from this point on the closely watch your dam and keep her under your watchful eye. This mean that you should take her out side on a lead and do not leave her alone. You should be taking her temp. rectally from now on and when her temp drops below 99 degrees whelping is very close usually between 12 to 24 hours. You should have her whelping area already set up and start to introduce it to her by having her stay there with you talking to her and allowing her to sleep or nap there. It should be in a quiet out of the way spot with little or no foot traffic.
You will notice nesting by her scratching in the whelping box and trying to make a comfortable spot for herself to have the pups. You also should have your vets phone number right there in case any unforeseen things start to happen and you need their help.
Good luck with your girl.

57 days pregnant? May be about to go into a slightly early labour.
67 days pregant? Is either very late delivering, in which case you should check with the vet she is ok, or, could even have BEEN in labout for 3/4 days, and could have a dead or dying litter in her...hence the 'nasty' mucus.

Hi I've been trying to answer all of your questions but can't keep up lol, as long as it isn't smelly or brown in colour or green then she could be due to whelp at any minut (between now and around 48hours maybe longer) if your unsure give the vet a call there the best people to talk to right now.
Good luck

My dog leaks this stuff for about 2 weeks before she has her puppies. I see everyone telling you that she will have them any minute. That is not always true. She may still have a couple days left. Just make sure and keep an eye on her. Put it this way, She could have the puppies now or she could have them in a couple days. Good Luck!!
