alright so this week i will be upgrading my tank from a 10 gallon to a 30 gallon..

Now my question is this..
I understand that i will need to do the break in cycle of the new tank.. but would you slowly adding my current 10gallon water to the new tank help build the bacteria?

someone with experience please guide me step by step on what to do

Please help me find a unique, easy to say name for my new adopted cat. He is BIG.. he is only about 4 or 5 months but he looks adult with huge paws. He meows constantly when he doesnt have attention on him (ie. being pet) and he is a pale yellow with a tiger tail and two white spots on his tummy. Green/ yellow eyes. Likes to sleep on top of the books in the bookcase. Likes to play. Goes balistic over catnip! Which is kinda scarry with such huge paws!

my golden retriever keeps crying. i feed him do everything take him out he starts crying again? why is this? on going for 3-4 days now? i think, i believe he cries to go out. but its ANNOYING to walk him so many times. its not a loud cry, just a small little one he keeps putting out. what do i do? theres no physical signs of anything wrong with him. but last few minutes i noticed he was shaking a tiny little bit????? then it stopped? explain?

I'm a fish tank newbie. I bought a 29 gallon tank. I bought a Marineland Penguin Bio-Wheel 150 filter system. I filled the tank with water and used the directed amount of conditioner. I put two Tetra's, four guppy's, and one bottom feeder in the tank (the water started getting cloudy three days after I added the fish to the tank). I have had the tank for 3 weeks and have already done one 30/70 water change. Fish are doing great! However, the water is cloudy despite my filter. I also have an air pump creating bubbles from the chimney of an ornament that looks like a house and I bought a cover with a light. With all of this, how can I clear up the water? It's not unbearable, but just annoying.

ok when i was 5 i had an Abyssinian cat. And he died of old age 9 years later.(thats what the vet said). when i was 11 i got another Abyssinian cat. then it died 1 year later from heart failure. know i am 13 and i am going to get another cat because my dad is finally ready to get another one from a different breader that does not have heart issues in thier family. My dad either wants a Russian Blue or another Abyssinian. The problem with Abyssinians is that they are so independent when i had them, even though i was very nice to them played with them and fed them all the time. Are Abyssinians always independent cats? Are Russian Blue cats independent? i would rather have a Abyssinian cat because they are just beautiful. what is the better choice of a cat in youre opinion? i want a cat that is very quick and will play with you.(Abyssinian) But i also want it to come to you or stay in youre bed when you sleep or sit with you because Abyssinians never sit with you they keep a safe distance.

Look on google images. Type in ABC Practical Guide to Dog Training by Steven Appelbaum. The 1st pic should be of the book with a dog on the cover. I have a dog exactly like it but nobody knows what it is!!!!

I have some neighbors who live across the alley from me whose dogs, even though they are behind a wire fence, tries to attack me when they see me on my side of the alley. Since we have a dumpster to put our trash in in the alley, I cant do this job myself because of the savage dogs. I am truley afraid that they could jump that fence and attack me. These are big dogs, one is a pit bull, the other is a rottweiler mix. I have told my city council about this, and they say" thats your problem" and point to me. Is there anyone out there who can help me and my neighbors?

I'm sure some of you saw the question the 16 year old posted about teaching her pitbull to attack people. This makes me so angry, does she even realize her dog isn't bread to hurt or kill, does she realize she is one of those responsible for giving pitt's such a bad wrap. I have need to treat my dogs and cats for fleas. I've used frontline and it worked great but that was a couple of years ago and once again...my dog has them! I've heard advantage is really good and frontline is very bad. Some say frontline is bad only when you use it every month for long periods of time. Any advice?

My cat Fred has had this skin condtion for almost as long as I can remember, but now that he's gotten diabete's, he can no longer get the shot for this skin condition that makes it go away. So i'm wondering if there are any alternatives to this shot ? If anyone could help it's be appreciated.

My best friend has ottb, he has knee chips in three legs and a fracture in the other, he can never be ridden again and is pretty bad off. My friend cannot afford to pay a vet to put him down so they are looking for a slaughter house, I personally dont agree with this but they ar eso far in debt they'll never get out, unless any of you want a pasture mate, he is located in Va Beach.

He is very old. He has lost most of his teeth, so I feed him soft high-flavor food.

He is completely blind (that is the hardest part) and he is completely deaf.

He likes to be petted, and I put scents around the house (like orange oil and peppermint) and he likes that.

He sticks close to me. I keep the house really warm because he has bad arthritis.

I wondered of there was a special way to massage a really old dog, or if someone else had some ideas on how to entertain him once in a while.
