ok when i was 5 i had an Abyssinian cat. And he died of old age 9 years later.(thats what the vet said). when i was 11 i got another Abyssinian cat. then it died 1 year later from heart failure. know i am 13 and i am going to get another cat because my dad is finally ready to get another one from a different breader that does not have heart issues in thier family. My dad either wants a Russian Blue or another Abyssinian. The problem with Abyssinians is that they are so independent when i had them, even though i was very nice to them played with them and fed them all the time. Are Abyssinians always independent cats? Are Russian Blue cats independent? i would rather have a Abyssinian cat because they are just beautiful. what is the better choice of a cat in youre opinion? i want a cat that is very quick and will play with you.(Abyssinian) But i also want it to come to you or stay in youre bed when you sleep or sit with you because Abyssinians never sit with you they keep a safe distance.

hmm....can't really help but I'll try, i think both cats are like that but I'd try the Russian Blue, i know their playful, and i don't think their independent, but i have a small Calico and she's playful as ever when we got her fixed, I'm 13 myself, but I've had over thousands of cats, so I'm sure i might know what I'm talking about xDD, but yeah, id try the Russian blue.

Both of these breeds are very independent. I would highly recommend you go to a local shelter and look at what they have to offer. There are many many kittens fitting the description you have your heart set on. Plus, the kitten will already have all of his shots and get neutered as part of the deal. Most mixed breed cats are pretty healthy and they are loveable as a rule. Think about it, some little kitten...cute, playful, you might just save a life ! How much better can it get ??? !!! Right? Tell your dad that you decided to save a life and explain to him that for every cat bought from a breeder, probably a hundred kittens/cats die in shelters. The numbers are really high! Good luck to you and I hope you save a kitty!

All cats are independent. I have had Siamese mixes including currently a Russian Blue/Siamese, a Birman, and a Manx, and all were buttheads much of the time. However, they were all sweet and affectionate. I would go to the shelter and pick the one that picks you.

Go to your local shelter or breed rescue. SAVE a life ~ that cat will be grateful and loving to you, forever!! Don't get all caught up in the LOOK!
