Take him to the vet. Since this is a change in his behavior, likely something is wrong. I'd do it soon.

Puppies have restrained methods to keep up a correspondence with us when they're harm, in poor health, or anxious. If your canine is crying reputedly for no rationale or being principally needy of your awareness (wanting to take a seat to your lap all day, for illustration), it possibly a good suggestion to have her checked through a vet to make certain she's in excellent well being. Maintain a keen eye on her and watch for indicators that she's no longer consuming or consuming good or that she has an injury (limping, keeping her leg humorous, and so on.). Sometimes puppies simply want a little bit extra concentration, too, so i am hoping that is the case with your pooch. Good luck!

My dog would shake if he was in pain. I would start to go over him to try to find out the problem. Check ears, teeth, eyes, gently go down the spine with both your thumbs on either side of the vertebrae. He's not bloated? Dogs can have anxiety. Is he neutered? Could be a female in heat near your home. If the symptoms continue I would take your dog to the vet for a check up.

Hm... He might be scared. How long have you had the dog? Try giving the dog more attention, more food,water...... Maybe he doesn't feel like he get's the attention he needs....
Edit: I got this below from a site.
Edit - Animal cries indicate emotional distress due to separation anxiety or grief. A large, gentle marine mammal called a dugong that lives in the Indian Ocean sheds tears when in trouble or pain. Cats are known to become depressed and be in tune with their owners moods. Marmoset infant monkeys cry for attention. They also cry when older to signal to an adult that they want to be carried.
Animal behaviourists have long said that emotions play a big part in animal survival especially in the wild. Animals express joy, anger, and grief and other emotions that were once called exclusively human. Human tears dont always mean sadness. They can mean joy too so we hear the phrase tears of joy.
Human babies cry for the attention of their mothers and puppies do the same but the puppies always cry without tears.

If this is a sudden behavior change - take him to the vet.
I would make sure to check his vital signs
http://everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=598013
Check his gum color - then with a finger push on his gum - it should leave a white spot - count to see how fast it comes back to "normal" which should be pink.
Shaking can be a symptom of pain or a stress response and/or fear response.
It could also be attention-seeking behavior - basically he is "training you" - the more he whines he gets attention from you.
So - rule out medical causation first - then you made need professional help from a humane qualified trainer to help set some better rules and boundaries.

Anything else?.. Like sniffing you in the same place over and over?.. constant nudging?..
My mother's schnauzer started doing that at one point (with the constant crying/whimpering with the sniffing).. and she was getting really worried about him.. but no one could find anything wrong.. 2 weeks later SHE (my mother)was rushed to the ER.. her abdominal wall was necrotic due to a previous health problem.. Once she had surgery and that was taken out he stopped doing it all together. So, the crying and everything was his way of trying to tell her something was wrong with HER...

Theres def something wrong if hes shaking. I would call the vet immediatly and get him in to see the vet. If he werent shaking I wouldnt be so worried. Could be something internal.

Could something be making him nervous? Is someone around him that he isn't use to? or uses a loud voice?
You should always see a vet when behaviors change dramatically. Behavior is communication. Something is bothering him

Well is it because hes cold or something? Maybe he heard something or felt something or sensed something unusual. I'd take ur dog to the vet just in case. Seems nothing major to me though. Try putting the dog on your lab while watching tv or something might calm him/her down...
