I would certainly hope so!!! Do they have an indoor toilet??
Seriously, if they are inside dogs, make sure they don't get too cold.

My dogs absolutely love the snow, when I open the door and they see it for the first time in the year, they look as if they have grins a mile wide and then run out into the garden using their nose like snow ploughs, they also love to roll in it, as for Winter winds they all have thick coats so aren't bothered by it at all, obviously something like a Whippet or Greyhound need coats and a lot of smaller breeds would need coats also, but on the whole all dogs can go out in all weathers, I don't take my dogs out when it is boiling hot though, rather leaving it until the evening and early morning.

Yes, as far I as know from my long experience living with many dogs in my 14 years of living in Minnesota, you can! As some people have said, though, depending on the dog, you might want to get a coat or something to keep it warm. If you have a dog with heavy coat of fur, then he'll probably be OK.
Some dogs actually enjoy being out in the snow! My friend has a 9 year old German Shepherd that goes crazy in the snow, he absolutely loves it. But I do understand if some dogs don't enjoy going outside in the snow and cold. And I agree with jellypuffer0362, if you can't go outside, don't make your dog.

Yep, My half collie half chow lives outside all the time, we live in Idaho and had several feet of snow last year. As long as your dog isn't shivering or really wanting to go back in it should be fine. Keep an eye on him/her and it'd probably be a really good idea to make sure it can get out of the wind.

Collies adore the snow, they don't need a coat, but if you want to make your life less hassle, put a coat on the dog, that way you won't have so much dog drying to do.
Let the dog tell you what weather conditions it's happy with. I think you will find that your mutt will love the "game".

i take my dog out even if its torrential rain outside, he loves the excercise. Just a thought, if you want your dog clean, put an all in one coat on it! I have three coats for my dog, a plain water proof, and warm and waterproof one for when its cold and wet, and a sheepskin one for when its cold. Its also great for indoors as our house gets really chilly in the winter. But then he is a terrier with a thin coat and hates the cold!
all these coats are for practical reasons only..not for show or to make him look 'cute'. and they are not all in ones, but then i only deem my dog has had a good time on a walk if he comes back filthy!

Yes. Some dogs can't stay out as long (I had a dachshund for example, and his belly dragged the ground so he could only stay out a short time). And dogs with very sparse or short hair may not be as able to stay out long. So it really depends on the breed, and the coat of the dog.

We take our Golden out snowshoeing all the time in the winter. She loves it! We make sure the hair between her paws is trimmed up because otherwise it clumps up into hard balls and hurts her. Other than that she has a blast!!

Ask the Iditerod sled-drivers......some dogs are bred for that very purpose!
I'm guessing you are talking pampered house pet.....
in that case, go to the pet store and buy them some of those silly-looking sweaters, booties, etc. Just don't let the real dogs see them while you are out because they will either tease them to their face or laugh at them behind their back!!!

well, unless you want them to pee in the house...you kind of have to.
Depending on the dog and how cold it is, you may want to get it a coat. If you're talking extreme cold temperatures, where people need to take extra precautions, I don't know what extras you can do for the dog.

yes you can take them out but if it is a small dog that has short hair (like a chihuahua) then make sure not to keep them out to long. I have a small boxer and she loves it outside when its cold cause she can run forever and not get overheated! but sometimes it is hard to get them to go outside in the first place! :-)
