I bought my puppy @ 4 weeks of age. The breeder told me he had stopped weaning and that he was ready to go to his new home. I knew this was a bad move because he was way too young. He is now 8 weeks old and he is VERY skinny. I always have alot of food out for him. Dry pedigree puppy food and wet pedigree puppy food. His appetite is terrible he rarely eats, and He hardly ever drinks the Esbilac Puppy Formula I got from pet supplies plus....WHAT DO I DO!?? PLEASE PLEASE HELP. I am not depriving him of food or water or nething. I love and take care of him greatly but this situation saddens me everyday. I even took him back to the breeder so he can wean on the mother but he doesnt want to/forgot how to....

Take him to the vet's office to get him some vitamins (they have the liquid kind you can put in his formula/milk). Take a stool sample so they can check for paracites. 4 weeks was too young (usually it's 6-8).

Have you taken him to teh vets???
Pups are usually born with worms and should be wormed at 2,4,6,and 8 weeks. Also being taken that young his imunity is very low he should have had his first vaccine at 6 weeks and due for another at 9 weeks.
This puppy ;could have underlying health problems so your best bet is to take to the vets as SOON as possible

It sounds more like your pup is sick and doesn't have to do with appetite. He needs a vet immediately. And that breeder needs to be shut down. Giving a puppy away at four weeks, what a dumb-a**. Puppies need their momma AND littermates untill they are 7 or eight weeks old at least (I keep mine untill they are ten weeks old).
The pup is sick, I'm sorry it's not your fault. Get him to a vet asap.

You need to get your puppy to a vet ASAP.

The breeder is so wrong for letting the puppy go to you at 4 weeks old but the only chance your pup has of surviving is getting him to a vet. He may have worms and be suffering pain so please take him now.

Good luck I hope he survives.

You need to get him to the Doctor right now he might have parvo with the way that he is acting unless you have given him his shots or it can even be worms and if the man said that he gave him shots he is lying cus you cant give a dog shots tell bout 6 weeks old.

Take your pup to the vet. It could be any number of things that are causing the weight loss, such as internal parasites or blockage from swallowing something he shouldn't have.

you should feed hand him the food and make him eat.thats what i had to do a year ago with a german shepherd.
But if he doesn't grow ask a vet what you should do.

We had a pitbull when I was a kid, and dad got him a bucket of horse meat. You should have seen that little critter attack that meat! I still remember him, wobbling around with his swollen little belly, burping and farting, and going back for more! I love pitbulls, so please don't let him die!
