I have a 4 year old maine coon cat, who loves to eat! the problem is that after meals some times he throws up. im not sure if there hair balls or just food. he likes to clean himself after he eats, and hes got realy long hair! I brush his hair a few times a day so he doesnt eat it, but he still throws up! theres not a day that he doesnt at least throw up once and i worry about him. my question is, is it his hair making him throw up?

We have a 1 year old colker spanier/terrier mix, she has been a great dog up until now, she has suddenly started chewing everything bathtub stoppers, my jacket zipper, pencils, backpacks, you name it. She has plenty of toys and a cat that she drives CRAZY. Why is she suddenly doing this and how can we stop her. I don't want to kennel her as she spent the first 6 mos of her life in a kennel just large enough for her to stand up and lie down in (her previous owners had her there)

And for you, how many are too many, and how many are enough?

We recently had to shave my Cairn Terrier because of a bad flea infestation. We groomed him at home with lots of love, and he was very well-behaved during the whole thing. Nearly 2 weeks later, he has started to shake when put outside to do his business.

The weather has turned colder around here since we shaved him, but we put a sweater on him and only put him out as long as he needs to be. He is showing aversion to even going out the door, although he is excited to have the sweater put on. As soon as he goes out, he starts to shiver and will not do his business.

Is this a stress issue or is it simply too cold for him? Nothing stressful has happened since the grooming.

Have you ever had to deal with it? My ex-husband and I just lost our dog to it, and I'm wondering if it's a common affliction in dogs.

My puppy is 6 months old today and we have had her for about 3 weeks. She has been scratching ever since and we thought she may have fleas. No fleas found and no dry skin. No rashes, no nothing. I have no idea why she is so itchy. She is a short haired mutt and I can tell she has no rashes anywhere because she has light thin fur. What do I do?

My daughter (11 yrs old) was playing outside with friends at a neighbors house and she knows the children who own the dog but we do not know the parents, their dog got out of its gate and attacked my daughter, it bit her arm and she has multiple puncture wounds but none serious or deep and she got a dog scratch on her back, i took her to the emergency room, she is now on antibiotics, she also suffered a large scrape on her knee from falling when she ran away from the dog. the pit bill is 7 months old. i am wondering if i should call the police or animal control. her emergency room visit is fully covered by our insurance. but i don't want this to happen to another child.

My cat bites ME. No one else in the family gets nearly the biting attention that I do. My forearms are covered with healing scratches and bites.

She's 7 months old and her name is Luna. She gets crazy sometimes and runs all over the house skitzing herself (nothing's really happening, but something's chasing her in her imagination).

She's cute as a bug, but she won't let me cut her nails. I know she's wanting me to play with her--she loves wrestling on the floor with a willing foe. The other cat doesn't like her much but she loves to get too close so the other cat will chase her. The other cat is angry, but Luna's having a ball because someone's chasing her.

To this point, the only thing I've found that worked for her is distraction. Grab a pencil or a straw or ANYTHING and let her bite it instead. She's getting the old snip snip tomorrow.

When she attacks me out of nowhere what do I do?

Afternoon!!

My partner and I have just moved into a two bed flat. We are looking to get a kitten. I want to get two but he says they will fight as there is not enough space, and also we have to think about the extra costs involved...

Is it really bad if we just get the one cat?? as I've been told its best to get two...

Will all the people who have one cat please put my mind at rest and tell me one cat is fine?

I don't understand why everyone believes what they hear or see on the PETA website. I used to be a supporter of them, and I do believe that they do good for the world. However, I have now noticed how very one-sided their "investigations" truly are. I watched a video of them "investigating" a Pet Store chain that I work for. All they did was slam the company as if EVERY store had the same problems as the one in the video. I found it to be wrong, and very insulting, as our chain is known to be one of the most kind to animals. In our store, the "sick" room has about 7-10 animals at any given time. They said HUNDREDS. We don't even have room enough in the sick room for that many animals!

I just want to know why PETA feels like they can't show the other side of the story.. And why so many people blindly support them when there is so much missing from their information.

The male seems extremetly docile and is normally very well behaved. We bought the female as a companion for the male about 5 weeks ago and thought he would love her company.

We were very wrong! He wants to bite her and gets agitated every time he sees her... we keep them separated out of fear he will seriously hurt or kill her.

He does seem to like to play footsies with her under the door, but after 5 weeks he still doesn't seem to be any more accepting of her when we try to put them in the same room together; he wants to attack! He weighs 16 lbs and she is only 4 lbs.

Will time solve this? I sure hope something will as we love them both.

Help!

My horse has a beautiful canter, really fast, yet really really smooth!! But whenever she firsts starts (for the first two steps or so) it's really rough...almost like a rocking horse. When she starts in it, I always loose my balance, and then can't regain it quick enough.

What are good ways I can gain or regain my balance when she canters?

I've tried going from a walk, to a collective trot, to an extrended trot, then to a canter, but it still doesn't work. I'll have a good balance up until she canters. I'm thinking of competing in a show with her in May...and I believe it's walk, trot, canter (not entirely sure), so I need to gain my balance before then.

Thanks so much in advance!!!!
