Both of my cats are male (father & son) so I don't have this problem.
Sorry I can't help you. :(

People always seem to give the 'introduce them and give them time advice', which is easier said than done!
I have 3 cats.. two of them, Taco, and Snipper are mom and daughter cats. They get along fine, with the occasional fight. But within minutes they're cuddling and purring.
Then I have another cat, Bebe. Which they will NOT accept. They gang up on him, and maul him. In fear of them also hurting him, I seperate them. They swat eachother under the door too. Sometimes it looks cute and playful, sometimes it looks aggressive.
It's been around 8 months that they've been seperated, and they still won't get along. Sometimes cats will not accept others. Hopefully that's not what's going on in your case -- but one thing I've tried that might work for you, is to put one of them (the male cat would probably work best) inside a cat carrier kennel, and put them in a small room, such as the bathroom. Then let them interact, having the grate between them. That way they can be face-to-face, and be able to see and smell eachother, but not be able to hurt eachother. Do that several times, and it might make the male feel more comfortable with his new friend. You can switch it up too - changing the female in the kennel once and a while also.
But good luck with your kitties. Hopefully they learn to love eachother soon :)

put the new kitten in a small room and let them sniff under the door for about a week then put the kitten in a carrier and put him in another room while you let your other cat check out the room the kitten was in let him take in all the smells I would do this for a while then let them meet through the carrier . the biggest thing is to let them smell each others scent without actually meeting . I have four cats and this has always worked wonders for mine I got them all a few years apart.

They have to get used to each other under their own terms. You can't force them to accept each other right now because I will never work. Right now, your male cat feels sort of betrayed that you brought another cat into the house. You have to let him know that you are not trying to replace him. Have some alone time with him. Play with him, and only him, for a bit each day. Also, if your older cat has a favorite bed or toy, don't let your new cat near it. You just have to let your male cat know that you still love him and you are in no way trying to replace him. When he is ready, he will accept your new addition. Good luck!

Ten weeks previous is plenty too youthful to come again into call yet in basic terms a splash older and it could ensue in some breeds. you're doing the main suitable suited factor desexing your cat and you may recomend they do the comparable with theirs. additionally, in case you like a vet to respond to your questions you may make an appointment with one :) P

i believe time will heal everything. i am sure everything will pan out my mom has a rag doll kitten she is about 4 months old now well mom got her when she was 6 weeks old and her other way older and more aggresive cat didnt like her to much well my mom let sky (rag doll) walk around and get used to the place and now ashes (older cat) cant get enough of her. so just let them around each other. another thing your male might be jealous so show him just as much attention as you show her. if not more.

I'd watch to make sure he doesn't hurt her, but I think time will take care of it,,,he's a male and she's not, so they should get along...my cat didn't come out of the basement for a month when we brought a new kitten home..she was scared of it.

He is being territorial and jealouse. You just have to prove that you are going to treat them both the same regardless of his outbursts. You can't show favortism.

Give them time, sounds like he's warming up to her, and make sure his nails are trimmed!
