It may be pure bred, but think about this. If you can go to sleep knowing that the SPCA puts down thousands of homeless cats they cannot find homes for because people re just breeding their cats, then you need to think carefully why you are breeding.

Unless your cat is VERY SPECIAL, I as a pet owner who has adopted two unwanted kittens would strongly object to your breeding your cat, while thousands of other sweet babies are being euthanized. So if your cat is on the endangered species list, breed her. Otherwise, help control the pet population--have your pet spayed or neutered.

please don't breed your baby, and instead let her get spayed for her sanity and yours. because 1. it prevents cancers especially if you spay before the first heat 2. it makes your cat much happier not to feel that ever present drive to find a mate and be unable to 3. if you just look in any shelter, I know it will change your mind about wanting to breed your cat. the cats in those cages near loud barking dogs will break your heart.

I hope I dont offend you I know you may know all that already. but just in case you never been to a shelter with cats I really urge you to go there first before you make the decision. 7 million cats are euthanized every year in the US in shelters because of overpopulation. and alot are purebreeds, young and healthy. This doesnt even take in account all the strays that die in the streets.

Even if your cat is purebreed, I'm sorry but there are already thousands and thousands of homeless cats. I can't stand the thought of people purposely bringing other cats into this world when there are so many without homes.. so here's my suggestion, just go get your cat fixed instead..:)

Spay your cat.

Purebred or not there are too many unwanted cats in this world. You are just adding to the problem!!

What are you going to do when you can't find homes for all these cats??

Will you keep them forever, pay for their food, vet care etc??

Spay, Spay, Spay

Please reconsider. There are so many breeders already and even more unintended litters due to owners failing to spay their pets. Intention breeding is cruel to the 3 million cats that are put down in shelters each year.

Is this a purebred cat?

Edit - Okay, purebred. If female, look for signs of the first heat cycle. If male, you may have to wait a little while longer and have your vet perform a fertility test for a sperm count. Young animals don't always breed successfully and the first litter may be small.

When they mature which is about 2 years old. But don't do it unless you know that you are going to find good homes for the kittens!!!

It would be better to leave this for at least 6 months - let the cat grow first! you wil make money from her - let her have a good life first before she breeds - that will be best. good luck.
