I just cleaned the toilet a couple days ago, and I had just flushed some cotton balls with nail polish remover down the toilet.

Will he be okay?

Hello,

I am getting a female Silky Terrier in about a week and am not sure what to name her, so I figured I would open it to a vote.

I am looking for something funny and unique - nothing like "puppy", or "roxy" or anything ordinary.

Let's see who has the best ideas!

I have been crate training my puppy since she was 7 weeks old- she is now 3 1/2 months. She does alright in the crate, but she wakes up at 5 am and will whine until 7 (I refuse to get up with her before 7). I let her out about every 5 hours at night to go out to the bathroom. When she starts to whine is when I put her back in her crate after letting her out at 5am go to outside, and I'm sure it's because she's hungry. However, I will not feed her until at least 7. I feed her at 7pm, so shouldn't she be fine? I'm feeding her the correct amount and giving her food puzzles between meals. How can I correct the whining in the crate without making it a bad place to be? I was thinking spraying her with a water bottle, but I feel that this would make the crate a negative environment. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't handle the whining every morning like this.

I have met many horses who don't understand the natural horsemanship techniques, even when done by Parelli, Roberts, Anderson, etc. These horses leave the ring more confused, some even quivering in fear.

Yet on this forum, every day I see "Do Parelli - it'll fix your problem" no matter WHAT the problem is!

Everything from "My horse hates apples" to "I can't get my canter lead."

Parelli's techniques can't fix physical limitations, confirmation, and muscle tone. Yet people use it as a 'catch all' answer and really seem to believe it just like a religion.

I don't understand why people think it will solve everything, including medical issues!!

Can anyone help make this a little more clear?

I would really love to have my own rabbit, either from a pet store or from a rescue or shelter.
I was wondering if anyone out there who owns rabbits, guinea pigs, big hedgehogs or ferrets have ever built there own cage out of a wood / wire type thing... :)
The reason I am asking is because it seems like a lot of 'medium' sized animal owners make their own indoor cages for their animals. I'm wondering because most of the cages out there seem very expensive, good-sized ones $100+. Anyone out there know a helpful website / book / personal ideas on what I could do to possibly build my own cage for maybe under $60 that would be able to hold a medium sized rabbit... thanks! :)

I just got back from the doggy park and this male dog kept humping my male dog. This went on for about 1 hr, off and on. There were other dogs in the park (at least 25), but that same humper dog kept going to my dog. Just wondering why this kept happening. My dog was getting a bit annoyed and fighting back, but....he dealth with the annoying horny dog. I thought it was funny!

My 7 month yellow labrador is currently (the last time I checked which was last week) 51 pounds and is approximatly 22 inches. Is that too big? I recently stopped giving puppy food and switched over to adult food.

My dog is about 70-80 percent dehydrated, I am giving it some pedalyite ( I'm not sure this is how you spell it) I think it might have been poisoned by my neighbor ( they don't like us very much). My dog is extremly dehydrated, it has diareaha, not moving much... kinda stiff, just really sickly, and oh yeah it has blood shot eyes. Please tell me if these are signs of a dog got poisoned or it's just terribly sick. I'm afraid she is going to die

When I take my puppy out for a walk, she is very excited to go. We get outside and she starts pulling like crazy. I do the stopping thing everytime she pulls, she doesn't seem to be getting that. When she finally does start walking, or I run with her, she'll just freeze. Every few steps she'll stop, then bolt forward running, so I run with her, then she stops. She just sits there and then bolts. I can't get her to walk properly. I don't mind running with her if that's what gets her tired, but not if she keeps stopping constantly and won't move. I feel like I have lost my alpha position. I think maybe I should start again and walk her indoors to retrain her. I am using a no-pull harness which she definitely pulls on. Will a halter work better? Any suggestions? I can't take it anymore.

I have a 10 year old black great dane named pepper and she's the best dog I've ever had. Aside from being beautiful, she's the sweetest, most well behaved dog I've ever seen. She got really sick over the summer and almost died but I got her a $400 surgery and she's doing excellent now. doesn't act 10 at all! I think they're the best dog you can get..unless you have small children they might accidentally step on(lol) anyone have a great dane or share the same thoughts?

He isn't really eating nor is he drinking. He just mopes around all day. He dosn't get excited when someone says "Lets go outside," he will just look at you like you are retarded. && by the way he isn't even 2 years old. I'm really worried.

Ok, so she is almost 6 months old, & is still having accidents in the house almost everyday. I take her out usually every hour, sometimes two. It's almost like she is doing it out of spite. She seems to dislike my son, and every chance she gets, she will poop on his bed and even snap at him. I don't know if maybe I am doing something wrong or what. All the research I've done says that they are very laid back dogs which she is most of the time. Is this still the puppy in her? Or should she be broken of her bad habits by now? Please help, I don't want to have to get rid of her.

We have a Pembroke Corgi female. We have had her for 4 months. We just can not seem to get her trained 100%. She will do great for a couple of weeks, and then all of a sudden she will have an accident on the floor. She doesnt give a signal when she needs to go......Does anyone have a good advice....Is she getting too old to train properly???? She is 6 months old. Cutest thing ever!!!

i have two cats which we try to keep indoors. one of them sneaks out occasionally, and so both of them recently ended up getting fleas.

we took the cats to the vet, treated them with advantage, and bathed them in dawn. we also got a spray from the vet to spray all over the house to kill any fleas, larvae, or eggs that may have gotten in the carpet or furniture.

this was two weeks ago and we are still finding fleas on the cats and larvae where the cats lay. granted, it has gotten better but how are we supposed to rid of them completely??
