My 7 month yellow labrador is currently (the last time I checked which was last week) 51 pounds and is approximatly 22 inches. Is that too big? I recently stopped giving puppy food and switched over to adult food.

Oh yeah, our lab collie is getting to be a big boy too! He's not a year yet, either. Actually, I think bigger breeds need puppy food longer, so I don't think that was the right thing to do. But look at your dog food bag! They have age and weight recommendations. Look and feel your dog's ribs and belly. If the belly is starting to puff out, and your dog is getting really round I think it's overweight. Our 10 y/o dog is overweight- what a puffball! And her Malamute/Shepherd fur doesn't help her, and neither does her legs.
Our lab/collie 8 month old is long, tall and slender, and I'm not stopping with puppy food until a year or after. But yeah, look at the dog food bag instructions. If you're still not sure, call the vet.

Yes your puppy is fine but I wouldnt recommend switching him adult food until he's over 1 year; instead gradually change him over to large breed puppy food. This should take about two weeks.

it sounds fine. labs have a tendency to get fat really easily so always pay attention to how much you feed but i think yours is ok. You should not really stop giving puppy food until he is a year old

confident, it somewhat is completely ok. The canines won't get as lots foodstuff because it would get in case you obtain commonly used canines foodstuff inspite of the undeniable fact that it somewhat is totally nice. basically feed often. My aunt is a veterinarian and that i basically asked her this question for you.

That sounds ok as long as it is not overweight. When in doubt check with the vet.

Here's what AKC standards say about a Lab:

Sounds like your Lab is right on track.
