Thats a tough one. It sounds to be like hes climbed all up into the car. You could lay a little bit of flies (or whatever treats the eat) out near the bottom and just wait.

You need to take your dashboard apart. You have a 50/50 chance w/ your iguana coming out on his/her own. You can try and place food and light in the car, wait and see. Hopefully your weather doesn't drop below 70. After you get your ig out of the dashboard, you may want to call your herp/exotic reptile vet for a checkup, he/she maybe can swallow something that isn't good for him/her.
When your iguana is young you should get them used to a harness, he/she will not like it at first, but the sooner you get them used to it the better, for many safety reasons.
You should keep your ig in a dog carrier or box (w/ breathing holes) good enough for his/her size, when they are young. Mainly because, igs can get scared just from the overpasses and leap somewhere to get away. The 3rd eye (pineal gland - dot on top of head between eyes) is for seeing things above them, say birds. Older igs that are used to riding in cars sit on dashboards and are fine, but young igs can wiggle there bodies threw some small spaces.

Go to an autobody shop or mechanic--they should be able to remove the dash so you can get him out.

If he isn't already gone, put a dish of hibiscus flowers, strawberries, broccoli, melon, lots of grub, and he'll come out. I think he is either dead or gone. Take better care of your next pet--BAD OWNER!

If he comes out you will be lucky! Other than that he's probly lost forever.I hate when stuff like that happens.
