My mom wont let me get a cat because i have a dog i already thought i was getin one but now my mom said i wasnt how can i convince her to let me get a cat?

Lay on the floor and throw your hands all over while stomping your feet on the ground and cry and scream like a baby. Im sure that will impress them.

every home needs a cat ,but your mom is the one who is the adult and must take the responsabillity for it.
talk to your mom - maybe the two of you can work out an agreement.
maybe she feels a dog is enough right now
if your old enough,try getting a job after school - you can deliver newspapers,and ask your mom if you do this and contribute to the vet bills and feed if she would let you have a cat.
when your out delivering papers - take your dog with you - its a great way to socialise him.

as much as I believe that every home should have a cat, your mother is ultimately responsible for the care of the cat, and if she doesnt want one, then that is pretty much that.
In a few years (hopefully - cause if not then you are too young to be on the net) you'll be out on your own and you can get a cat of your own.

i know how it feels
but in order for the cat to happy everybody in the household should welcome her
and if someone doesnt want the cat or isnt friendly to it its not a good environment for the cat and its more likely to get sick or run away
