Hi, I've been posting a couple of questions about my new kitty and here's another one. He's a rescue cat from Romania and came to France (where I live) through a charity. He's 5 months old, and they told me I have to wait until he's 8 months old before I neuter him. He's not spraying so that's not a problem, but I was just wondering why they'd have told me that, I got my last cat done at 6 months.

We have had the kitten for 24 hoursand won't use the restroom. We have tried the litter box but she likes to try to eat the litter. We have tried letting her go outside but she climbs up our legs. How do we get her to use the litter box without eating the litter?

I am getting a yellow lab or a chocolate lab. I don't want to name it after a thing or object like "Cookie" or something. I want it to be original but cool.

My serian hamster, Q.T., developed a fatty tumor a few months ago. I didn't take her to the vet because I know they can't remove fatty tumors, so I decided not to waste my money on a vet visit, when I already know whats wrong.

Well, the thing has gotten big, SO big. Its about the same size as her head. Its located right between her front arms.

It doesn't cause her any pain, but it does get in the way. She has to walk kind of funny because of it, and she has difficulty getting into her wheel because it gets in the way.

Do you think I should put her to sleep. This thing doubled in size in like 2 weeks, and its just gonna keep getting bigger. If we have her put to sleep, it will be tomorrow. Or, do you think I should wait a while longer

Please, I need advise!

What are some sign that a chinchilla is sick?

For the past week my chin has been squeaking at random times for no reason. They're not squeaks like he's in pain they are just his normal squeaks, but I've never heard him do it repeatedly and randomly like this.

He usually jumps around his cage and lately he's just been eating, drinking, and sitting around. He has also been grinding his teeth.

I have had him for about 2 months. He still does not let me hold him. I can pet his head and scratch his neck and stuff but any farther than that and he freaks out. I can't let him out of his cage because he won't let me touch him so I can't catch him.

Each year at this time, she finds a patch of grass and just lays down and carefully pulls the roots up and eats them and then puts the grass tuft back in place. I have tried giving her dog vitamins thinking she was lacking something but they didn't do anything. She also starts eating any paper she can find.

I have never seen a dog do this before. She is a 7 year old German Shepherd and in great health with the exception of occasional grand mal seizures. I had her checked for the seizures and the vet said she will have them her whole life and not to worry unless they get more frequent.

The vet I go to doesn't know why she eats the roots. Best guess is that she is finding some nutrient there she is lacking and told me if I brought a sample of the root, he could have it tested to see what it contains for about 600 bucks.

I'm hoping someone here knows why she does this and what she is lacking if she is lacking.

My dog,Bholoo, a male Germen Shepherd of five years has been approaching me every night for biscuits. For the last ten nights I have noted that he comes to me precisely at 9.16 p.m.I cannot imagine that he is able to read the clock on the wall. I infer that dogs too have body clocks like humans.I will like to learn experiences of other owners of pets like dog, cat or birds.etc.in this aspect of animal/birds behavior.

A Pitbull or a Husky, I mean which is stronger in everything? and lets say that you put the two of them to fight each other, who would have the advantage and win the fight? I am not trying to do anything, its just that me and my friend got into an argument about which is stronger, and I thought I should ask here. BTW, another question I have is which would have a better chance to turn on you to attack you between these two?

Okay. I love my cat. He is only 6 or 7 months old. My mom doesnt want to keep him because hes been urinating all over the place and she wants him gone. We dont have enough money to take him to a vet to figure out whats wrong. She said that we would have to take him to an animal shelter, and the problem is there isn't an animal shelter around here that is no-kill. Im not going to take him to a shelter to be killed. I want to keep him, so how do i get him to stop peeing all over the place? is it a territorial thing? he doesnt have a UTI. He started out peeing just in one spot, but now he just goes wherever. He does use the litter box sometimes. So im worried he just isnt making it there in time, and he ends up urinating where he is because he doesnt go a lot. Please i need to find a way to make him stop, because i love him too much to let him go.

peeing in certain spots? She is fixed now and I think the one time she was in heat she went nuts and seemed to pee everywhere for some reason. I had to clean the house and furniture from top to bottom!

Anyhow, after she was fixed it stopped, except that she seems to go in TWO spots in the basement all the time. Under the stairwell and one corner of our rec room. You can tell because you can SMELL it. My nose knows everything!

How do we get her to stop and why does she do this? I mean it's ceramic flooring and I check about once a week and sure enough she's gone there again.

I have bleached the areas, cleaned it with everything I can think of but she keeps going. Why oh WHY???!!!! And how can I get her to go in her litter box. I mean she does use the litter box too.

HELP!

i already asked this question but 2 people only answered it. i have a 5 gallon tank with two platys and two other small fish. i got them about 2 months ago. One of them hides in the corner all day and looks a little bigger than usual. But it could just be normally growing. but i know somthing wrong with it because it always used to swim around and now it just hides behind the plant. is it pregnant, sick, or is somthing else wrong with it. thanks!

Does anyone know of a dog breed good for mild asthmatic? I have looked on various websites and just dont like the look of a poodle/labradoodle etc etc. or anything to that effect.

The dog i would love to get looks wise, would be a black lab but my mate has one and i cant go anywhere near it!! Without my eyes watering and feeling the allergic effects.
Is there anything similar looking to a lab in the non molt hypoallergenic dog world??

Cheers in advance everyone.

I recently became involved with a wonderful woman who happens to own a non-declawed cat. I took my 5 year old Basset hound mix to her house last night for the first time and everything was fine for the first 15 minutes then I think it finally registered in my dog's mind that there was a cat there. She made a threatening move for the fearful feline and wound up with a claw swat to the snout.

This is potentially a big problem! I love my dog & my girlfriend loves her cat. I definitely feel it was my dog that was the aggressor in this case and I feel bad because of it. What can I do to promote racial harmony between them? I don't want out pets to be a roadblock in out relationship. HELP!!!
