A cat abandoned her original home due to neglect and their chaotic lifestyle.
She had her kittens under our porch a few months ago.
We fed her while she was pregnant, but due to her being so thin we didn't even realize she was pregnant!!
A little surprise happened a little while later ...... one day we saw some adorable tiny kittens poking their heads out under our porch.
Well, they've been weaned 3 wks. now. and are about 3 months.
There were 4 kittens, but we found a home for one yesterday.
The local shelters say they aren't taking cats for now, not for another 3 months or so.
The weather is going to get colder soon
We live in a small apt. and already have 2 cats/not enough room in here for more

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CAN'T FIND A HOME FOR THESE BEAUTIFUL CATS?!?!
HELP!!
{SHOULD I MAKE A greenhouse/heated and support them this WAY??}

I will eventually get a dog from the pound. I don't know when yet. But the shelter workers said if I adopt a dog I also have to buy a bag of Science Diet and keep her on it. Do I have to keep her on it for life or can I switch after a while? Will they come and take my dog away if they find out I am not feeding it Science Diet?

I am not against people who feed Science Diet. I would just rather feed something else.

What are some fun indoor games that I can play with my dog that will also be educational for her (and me!). She knows her basic commands but I want to do things that are different and fun.

So, I think I have figured out how to prevent poor breeding and poor dog ownership with aggressive breeds. What do you guys think of the law holding the owner criminally responsible for their pets behavior? Let me know your thoughts of that.

Ok so.. Sophie is pregnant, and has about 2 weeks left, she's stopped eating, as i have said before, we adopted her and didnt know she was pregnant before get got her, we live in a small northern town in canada and are hours away from a vet, so we havent gotten her checked.
My bf's fam had a dog that was bred, so he knows a thing or two about dog pregnancy although im not too sure about this not eating bit that she's got going on.
As of two days ago she hasnt been taking water as much as the norm. I've been trying to get her to drink milk also, but she tastes it then leaves it alone (same thing she does with her food).
I afraid that she was going to starve to death. So i tried to feed her chicken noodle soup. She tasted the soup and walked away but kept walking back and forth in front of it, i noticed this and put some of it in my hand, n she ate straight from it, should i keep feeding her this way until the pups come or just leave her w the dog food?

My dog is almost 2 years old and whenever people come to my house she barks and growls and shies away(even if they come over all the time) i dont mind if she shies away, thats understandable but i wish i could stop the growling and barking! She has a blind eye that shes had ever since she was a newborn so it normally doesnt bother her i try to calm her down and sometimes it works but sometimes it doesnt does anyone know what i can do??Shes very smart and cathes on to thing like that but this has been going on for a year now and i cant figure it out. she really spazzes out if the people are loud and this could be a problem cause were having a sleepover next month and i dont want her to have to sleep outside!

I started fostering kittens in June and we ended up adopting the first three because my husband couldn't stand the thought of taking them back to the shelter, now I have 2 more who have reached the weight of 2 lbs. and I feel so sad everytime I picture taking them back. I just picture the tiny little guys in the shelter in a cage wondering what happened and why they left the only place they knew and where we and their brother and sisters are. What to do? If I keep them I would have 6 cats in a small house not to mention the vet expense, etc. This is taking an emotional toll.

Why do irresponsible cat lovers seem to think that people have a right to let their cats roam free?

I live near a preserve filled with rare, endangered, and protected species of ground dwelling birds (even a bell collared cat would easily be able to kill them).

For some reason when I post a question about getting a neighbor to keep the cat indoors (as is required by law here), some people think that I'm the bad guy for picking on the poor cat!?!

Cats can be destructive. Do animal lovers have a right to let their dogs roam free also? I don't understand the difference.

If humans bring cats into an environment, we have a responsibility to keep them from damaging the natural ecosystem.

How can you convince a cat owner to follow the law and keep the cat indoors without having to report them to the authorities to face fines for allowing the cat to roam?

My cat has been using his box just fine for months. It is an automatically cleaning one so the cleanliness is not an issue. We recently got another cat who uses its own litter box but the older cat started pooping on the rug outside the box. He will pee in the box and then hop out and poop on the rug instead. If you take the rug out he just won't poop at all. Any help?

Ok I have been breeding mice and ran into a problem i never had before...
I have a female mouse that delievered a littler a batch on 10/31 and tonight when I was feeding the mice I noticed that the female looked sick/ paralized. I looked for the litter and they were eattin. I am guessing the other females ate them and she tried to protect them and got hurt in the process.
I know alot of people remove the female and young when they are born but I have never had a problem with this. Why do you think the female is in such bad condition? & do yo think I should kill the female or nurse it back to health?

I took the female out of the cage into a cage by itself for now with food and water... What would you do?

I work at a local animal shelter. Today I adopted a cat. He's 10 years old. When he was brought in, he was covered in fleas and bited. Not to mention he was almost hairless due to the fleas. He is now healing well, and his hair is growing back. He was supposed to be euthanized today, because nobody was looking at him. So I decided to bring him home. Everyone keeps telling me I'm crazy, because he's so old. My question is, would you have adopted the cat in this situation? Even though he is 10 years old?

I'm happy with my choice, and even if he lives a month or a week, I'm glad that he knows somebody loves him. And he can live the rest of his life in a happy home.
