If they was given by a vet yes the breeder should give you the records but you will also want to make sure it has had the shot for at least 4 days a lot of people don;t know but vets will tell breeders not to place them in new homes right after the shot cause stress for the first 72 hours can cause the pup to get what the shot was for that(parvo ect)this is why most breeders get the shots at 7 weeks and place the pup at 8 weeks and it gives the pup a week in the new home to get use to the new owner before the 2nd set at 9 weeks

yes, if they have given them shots, there should be a vet record.
Also, try and find out what vet they brought them too. Then you can go and pick up the records directly.
If there is no record and you are worried that the puppy might not have gotten them, wait a couple of weeks and go get the shots again. it won't hurt they puppy b/c the shots need to be boostered anyway.

before getting a puppy you have to do research on where the puppy came from-i.e the breeder. to assure you the breeder should provide you with contact information of their chosen vet and and happy buyers from previous litters. all vaccinations will be recorded with a date and it's proper name.
you should also get a chance to look at the puppy's mother. make sure to ask a lot of questions about health care. the puppy, it's siblings, parents and previous litters. an impulse buy can turn out very badly

That's why you have to trust the person you are buying your puppy from. They should come with a record showing that they have been vaccinated and against what..

A reputable breeder or a serious shop will definitely give you a vaccination booklet... don't take their word for it. If they find some lame excuses don't buy the puppy, as simple as that

If a puppy has had vaccinations they should give you proof. If unsure it will not hurt the puppy to have it vaccinated as soon as you get it.

They should be able to show you the statement from the vet's office. I would ASK for it if they don't volunteer it.
