On my cocker spaniel pups, I always did my own vaccinations for everything except rabies. That way, I at least knew when they were given, who did it, and saw the vaccines go in with my own two eyes. I got the 7-way vaccines from the feed and seed stores, where they also keep horse and cow shots. The vaccines worked just fine, and the puppies never got sick... that is, they never contracted any of the diseases the vaccines treated. They did get a little grouchy and tired the first time the shots were given, just the way people do when they get flu shots, due to the load the vaccines put on the immune system.

even if they say that it has it's first set of shots, you still need 3 additional sets of boosters anyway. they probably will have paperwork, but if they don't, you can ask who the vet was.
if you don't have paperwork on you when you take it to the vet to have it checked, and i recommend that you do that no longer than 3 days after having the puppy, the vet will still give the dog shots, just in case. it's not like if you don't have that paperwork the vet won't see you!

I'm in Australia. Here they come with a vaccination card which has a sticker from the vaccine on it. Should also tell you when the next ones are due.
Where are you getting the puppy from?

That's why you have to trust the person you are buying your puppy from. They should come with a record showing that they have been vaccinated and against what..

you should get vet records with dog, but 1st 5 in one shots don;t really protect so don;t take her outside and make sure people take there shoes off as parvo and distemper travel on the bottom of shoes beside being airborne, and take her to the vets to get her 2nd series of shots when she comes home never hurts to be safe, but after 3rd series of shots she should be well protected to show her off smiles and enjoy

They should give you papers from the vet. You will need them if you go to get the 2nd and third shots

Yes, they should have shot records if they have been properly vaccinated. If they do not have shot records do not buy the puppy, you will be wasting your time since all vets require shot records.

Legitimate breeders have vet records for each pup. Ask for the vet records of the pup you are purchasing. If they don't have them, I'd actually go elsewhere.

They should come with a health record. It will show what shots and wormings they have had. Good Luck with your new pup!!

It should come with records of all the puppy's medical history. If it doesn't you should ask for it.
