I am getting a yellow lab or a chocolate lab. I don't want to name it after a thing or object like "Cookie" or something. I want it to be original but cool.

You really need to see them first to make sure the name fits. We got a basset puppy that had a fat little belly and looked hung over. We named him Michelob after my favorite beer. We got another dog on fourth of July and named it Liberty. You can always name your dog Lucky because its lucky that you are adopting it. Labs are such friendly little buddies that you could call him Gilligan like the captains little buddy on Gilligans Island.
