Hey guys i just asked a question about my dog
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmKiI6HtE_cONe0DndgCRTnsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071008172638AArQ1kZ

Ur answers worried me but thanks nonetheless! Now i forgot to mention these things: My dog up to now is active, even though her face is swollen (and she hates it cuz she keeps scratching it) she is not sick physically, she is still barking and playing a bit. She ate well and now is sleeping, so should i stil be panicky? Her face is still swollen and i think it may very well be the Penincilin. Can that still be a danger? Can she die overnight because of this injection? I am freaking out right now, no vets are opened now so i have to wait it out until the morning. Any tips? I am feeling more guilty cuz i carried her to the vet to get help her lump go down but everything has gotten worse.

Thanks to all those who answered.
I'm praying!

So the inflammation and redness is probably from bacteria. Either from food or something he ate outside or daycare. It's very strange, he's super healthy and now he has front gums that are bleeding and sensitive. I know the vet will probably want to start him on antibiotics, so what probiotics can I use with him? He's 1.5 years old and otherwise healthy. Thanks in advance.

I just purchased a tortoise frrom the pet store, and I am not too happy. First, the guy told me it was a galapagos tortoise, only to find out that he is a sulcatta. Second, all he has been feeding him is romaine lettuce, because it has more nutrients than reg lettuce. I need to know exactly what to feed him. He is a little, little guy. Not even the size of my palm. Any points or tips and food wise people for tortoise's please feel free to answer. If you could also let me know where to purchase the things i need, ie. grocery store or pet store, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so very much in advance.

I already know what kind of bird this is since I see them all the time in my backyard and surrounding area. This particular bird was seen in my backyard about two years ago or so, in NJ. Easy ten points, but they are beautiful aren't they?

Hubbie brought one home without knowing anything about it. Thought our betta needed company. (It didn't.) Anyway, I've been reading that rasboras need to be with other rasboras. Anyone have experience keeping just one? Thanks!

Ok basically we all work random days... me and my father in a family buisness and my mother in a seperate jobs, normally my dad would work 5-6 days a week, and myself normally 5 days sometimes 4 days at quiter times or in winter when we shut on sundays for a few weeks. My mother works normally 4 days a week.

We would love something like a Basset Hound, French or British Bulldog. All our days off tend to equal up with someone being here 4-5 days a week, and only 2-3 with the house empty, quite often only for 4 hours if i'm on a short day, but possibly spells of 8-9 hours in our buisiest times, but that'd be like 1-2 days in the week. Is it ok for that little amount of days on it's own, hopefully with us living near someone would be able to nip back to let the dog out or something, would this be suitable or not. note it isn't suitable for the dog too come to work as it's food industary.

I'll give you a run down in points in a lower "additional comments" section. Cheers Matt.

This morning she had a lump on her throat, a soft one that felt full of liquid. I carried her by the vet and she said it was probably an allergy so she gave my dog some shots. Penincillin shots to be exact. Now my dog's face is totally swollen! So swollen her eyes can t open fully, i am very worried. I called the vet and she said it was prob a reaction to the penincilin, i hope she doesnt die! What do u all think??

My father told my mom to put advantage on the cats shoulderblades. I wasn't in the room to make her realize that that would be a bad idea, because obviously cats can turn around and lick themselves.

I'm wondering if Advantage is poisonous?
If it is should I give him a quick bath?
We already wiped it off his fur with wet paper towels but I'm not sure if that is enough.

Ok, so my friend told me that suave shampoo kills fleas on your pet. I have an outdoor cat that lives in my barn, and I would love to bring it inside, but I'm worried about a flea infestation. Are there any other remedies besides purchasing expensive stuff? I'm willing to buy flea medication and/or shampoo, but I don't want to waste the money if I already have something that will work. thanx

What is the cost to put my cat to sleep? Is it possible that it could be free? (Please indicate the currency type you're using like US$ or CAN$)

My cat is very very very sick (vet thinks dry FIP or cancer), he is syringe fed, wobbles to the point where he falls over to his side, smells like urine because he can't use the litter box probably due to the wobbliness, bathing him makes him very stressful, and he's very lethargic.

He does try to wobble towards me when I'm preparing his food or try to come to me when I'm on the bed (he can't jump, so he just meow and I pick him up). I pick him up to walk him around the house, let him look outside the window, or for a change of scenery.

I think it's now time to put him to sleep. I tried my best to help him but he just got worst. And I love him very much.

Answers, comments, etc....are appreciated.
Thanks :)

It has done this before. She is very swollen. She appears to be in no pain, happy and running around and playing. she cannot get pregnant because she was spaded several years ago. she is 12 years old. Could it be that the dog food I am feeding her has swelled up in her stomach? I dont know what to think. Any advice would be appreciated.

Well the vet checked her and took test but it didnt come out to be Pneumonia but he said that since one side of her lungs souds well and the others doesnt. And she was laying around- not being her normal self. So if you know whats wrong or if it is Pneumonia please answer back. ASAP
