My moonlight gourami has raised pink and white spots all over its body. They don't seem to affect its behavior or eating habits, and the fish store doesn't know what it is. Any ideas?

I saw that there are a lot of questions about the dangers of Holly, but aren't there more dangers to dogs than that? I understand that the holidays are coming up, but don't you think holiday chocolate, poinsettias, and even many holiday nuts would be more dangerous to dogs?

Why does everyone worry about Holly?

Our cat just died, and there was a yellowish puddle near her mouth but appeared to have come from her nose, she was a fat cat but there weren't any signs of heart failure. I would just like to know what happened. Thank you.

I have a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit. I have had her for about 4 years and she was always naturally calm, yet got excited when food came or you wanted tp pet her, etc (a normal rabbit). Now, she is kind of more lazy, or "tired" acting. For example, if she is facing away from me, and I touch her behind, then she doesn't react (normally she would jump up a bit and make this grunting noise)... and I don't think that it's just because she got used to us.... she is just wayy less movable.

Also, her two front paws look like their dislocated (they're not but it looks like it.... like she can bend them back all the way). We aren't sure if this is because of her cage, because it's plastic on the bottom and it could be that she slips their and therefore over time her muscles adjusted to that. We let her run on the grass though a couple of times a week now.

She also has a bump on her side. Like a cyst or something... I don't know what it is.

Do you know what might be wrong with her?

My 4-month-old puppy chewed apart a piece of cactus and now his mouth and throat are really swollen. He was acting kind of spacey and drowsy. I think it was an allergic reaction but the swelling has gone down. What should I do? Is it serious?

okay so last time my corn snake shed something really weird happened. i know he was about to shed, so i just left him alone. so i co me back the next day and its skin looked all shiny and new and his eyes had cleared, but no skin in the cage. i searched the whole cage, i took everything out and completly replaced the bedding. i couldnt find any skin so i just left it alone, puzzled. i came back the next day, and what do you know, the skin was sitting on top of the bedding. but how? why did it look like it shed when it really didnt? i was talking to my boyfriend and he described the same thing. whaatts going on?

Okay I'm going to spay my dog I know its a little late, but better late then never, right? She is 1 1/2 years old and she has been in one heat cycle. I really need her spayed but what is the average price of the procedure? I've called this one hospital and they wanted $310, that just seems like way to much. I imagined it would be like $250! If $300 is the right price, does anyone know where I could get it done cheap? Thank you very much!

My family has had our dog since he was a puppy (now 6). He has always been a backyard dog, as he is half Lab and half Rot Weiler and is huge. We rarely let him go inside the house because he sheds a lot. I am thinking about getting a smaller dog just for me that I would keep indoors, but I'm not sure how my older dog would react. I mean I know he will get jealous, but I'm not sure how bad it will be or if it would start to affect his health in any way. Any thoughts?

Another dog question... I usually go outside with my dog when she has to do her business because lately the male dog behind us has been destroying our fence so our dog can get through and 'hump' her. This one time, however, I didn't go outside with her because I was trying to put my daughters down for naps. When I went back down 10 minutes later the neighbors dog was in our back yard! I tried to call my dog in but she wouldn't come, she just sat there staring at me. When I opened the door all the way, to grab her collar, the male dog growled at me. So I closed the door. (He's a huge germand shepard, I'm not messin with that!). My dog was drenched and reeked of pee! Would that male dog have peed on her to mark her has his territory?

By the way, I called the dog catcher to come and get the male. I'm not letting the male get away with keeping me from my own dog and back yard!

I went to Petsmart yesterday and I cried when I saw the cats for sale, is that normal? I have 2 cats of my own and I cant have anymore and I get real emotional when I see cats for sale or even if I see a cat walking down the street, I wonder if it has a home and if it is safe. Why do I get so emotional?

Ok here is the situation. I adopted a dog from a local shelter on Saturday 10/6. It is now Tuesday. We found some, Not a lot, fleas on her. There are very few but we are taking her to the vet tommorrrow just to be safe. My question is how much should I treat the house now. She has laid in very few spots and sleeps in her crate at night. What should I do to get rid of fleas in the house that I am not ever sure are there. What are that chances that we might have a flea problem from having her in the house for 3 days? Should I be worried because I am. Could we have a serious problem? Anybody please HELP ME!!!!

My Staffordshire terrier gave birth yesterday so I put her in a empty room and as I was coming home from work I heard a strange sound so my immediate guess was to check on her but when I opened the door she was chewing on her puppy's head so I quickly ran over and took the puppy from her but it was already dead why did she do this

I just had my 6 month old siamese kitten spayed and vaccinated this past Saturday. Initially when I brought her home from the vet she was frightened and hid underneath my bed. She came about out an hour later. The rest of the weekend she seemed to be in considerable discomfort (but I was told not to giver her Tylenol or aspirin by the vet). In addition, she's not eating AT ALL, my own mom had to force feed her. I'm extremely worried because I dont want her to get sick or be in any more discomfort. I'm thinking about buying her some kitten milk (from Petco) and keep force feeding her so that she can heal properly and not get weak. I dont want her to starve to death. Please HELP!
