I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't know the answer to your question, but bile is usually yellow, so throwing up sounds likely.
Again, you have my condolences. My heart goes out to you.

Give yourself some time and space to get over your loss and the fact he is no longer there. Remember not to blame yourself or anything/anyone else for his passing - think of it as his time simply being up. It's good he passed away in your house and not at vet's, this will probably help you lots. If you haven't done so yet, I suggest you take the time to dig a hole somewhere (some people do this in their garden, others on vast meadows and fields) and bury him. Remember to decorate it with flowers so you know where it is. Otherwise, just keep any photos and memories of him close, and know that he is still with you and still loves you. Keep him close to your heart and you will be fine. I don't suggest getting a replacement kitten any time soon - he or she will need a lot of attention and some owners find it hard to give attention to a new pet soon after losing their old one. Again, give yourself some time and if you feel ready, perhaps after a few months, you can start thinking of introducing a new life to your household to help you get over your loss and hopefully bring some joy into your life.

well how old was the cat? Cats can live up to their 20s or longer , long life span but hard to tell how old they were unless you had as kitten.
The yellow does not mean much could have been sinus drainage or drool or something like that. Feline lukemia is a possiblity some kind of cancer, or just old age or a combination of things. Of course obesity is not always a great thing but would not cause an extreme early death what is important is that cat had happy life with lots of tuna and love and is in heaven watching over ya

I am so very sorry to hear about your cat. Without knowing its age and other background information it would be impossible to diagnose the cause of death.
I hope that you can come to terms with your loss. We have had several cats and it is a fact of life that they do not live as long as humans.
In time, perhaps you will decide to take on a kitten (not as a replacement for your cat, but as an entirely new challenge). I wish you well.

Ahh thats really sad, i'm so sorry for your loss. Your cat had a heart attack and wouldn't have known what was going on. Don't dwell on the why's and the wherefors, bury her with the dignity she deserved and remember her with the love and affection you always gave her, think about her often, laugh at the things she did, good and bad and hold her in your heart until you meet again. God bless x

Please accept my deepest condolences.
Should you be willing to do this, it's possible for your vet to do a necropsy to determine the cause of death. If there's a poison in your home as one person suggested, it would be worth the time and money in order to protect any other animals or children in your home. Again, I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend.
To Cris - You're not only sick, you probably have very few friends and will remain that way for the rest of your life, you insensitive jerk.

Please accept my deepest condolensces. Was she showing any signs os sickness prior to her death? It sounds like the yellow puddle is probably vomit, so if she was sick beforehand that would make sense. I know other people have asked but how old was she?
I am so so sorry for your loss. She will be the brightest pussy cat star in heaven looking down on all of you.
Take Care

got any poisionous powder around the house? could of sniffed it and died from that or maybe it was as simple as something come up from her stomuch and chocked her... we can think of something human as example. someone has stomuch flu throws up and trys to hold it in at the same moment, the pressure along with the area that is normal to come out of is blocked so it comes out the closest area. her case would be nose. maybe at some point in time something came out of her nose but something large enough blocked her throat on the way up. *causeing it not to be able to breath. hope this helps. *id think my last option is the key to what happened.

I just want to say I am so sorry. I am an animal lover and have a cat too so my heart goes out to you. I don't know what happened but perhaps your cat vomited and then aspirated somehow. I don't know.. just a guess. Again.. so so sorry.
