Some do. I had a kitten once that loved hearing my mum play the piano. When mum played the cat always came and sat by her.
However ants hate the violin. It's true. Whenever I get ants in the house in summer I get the violin out for 10 minutes a day and play it (badly - the only way I know how), and after 3 days the ants are gone.
I did this at a friends house too and I worked there as well. lol

I have a guinea pig and he loves music but you have to play it fairly loud for him to react. The TV is on now and music is playing but he is just eating but if you turn it up he goes mad, he squeaks and makes happy noises. He particularly like the ring tone on my mobile and the music that you get with some computer games.

I REALLY like this question: Okay,..all three of my cats (when put into the car) start to "meow-cry". Well, when I had Evan (my oldest) in the car going to the vet--I decided to put artists like Breaking benjamin, Evanescence, and Nickelback on. Guess what? She calmed down. My middle cat, Boogie, when I had her in the car seemed to like the "in between" music--not pop but not rock. My youngest cat, Bootsie, seemed to calm down with country from what I could tell. Now, when I had to move from Virginia to Georgia--with all three cats in the backseat--oh boy, that was interesting because I obviously could not find something they all liked.
For my two dogs---I haven't seen them react to any music yet.
Hope this answers your question!

My cat loves music, especially Celtic music. While I'm playing it she lies right up by the speaker and and you would swear she was asleep, but she's not, she's listening. She also likes Country music but doesn't like to be too near the guitar.

The cat jumps up on the keyboard when my daughter plays the piano. I have had cats do this before.

My dog likes Japanese music, the kind you listen to in the spa. When I play it, he lays in the chair next to the stereo.

My dogs DON'T like the heavy metal my kids listen to, expecially System of the Down (I have to agree with them on that--I don't like them either.)

My parrots love Primus, Metallica, and anything with a heavy bass or drum beat to it. My conure spreads his wings, bobs his head and 'dances' when you turn on music like this. The dog and cats could seem to care less, unless it's really loud.

Yep.
My dog loves punk music-he goes nuts playing with his toys tossing them around and all.

When country comes on he tends to show up and want to be petted for some reason.
